MEETING BETWEEN THE GOVERNOR OF RIVERS STATE AND THE HONOURABLE MEMBERS RIVERS STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY

I hereby write in furtherance of His Excellency's promise stated in my letter dated 5 March, 2025 to notify you that His Excellency has received the Supreme Court Judgment, and has therefore directed me to invite you and your colleagues - the Honourable members of Rivers State House of Assembly, to a meeting to discuss:-

(i) Provision of a befitting space for the Assembly's sittings;

(ii) Payment of all outstanding remuneration or allowances of the Honourable members;

(iii) Presentation of Budget and sundry matters;

(iv) Any other matter(s), as may be necessary, to chart the way forward in the best interest of the State.

Sequel to the above, I hereby humbly invite the Rt. Hon. Speaker, and all the members of the Rivers State House of Assembly to a meeting with the Governor as follows:-

Venue:- Office of the Governor, Government House, Port Harcourt.

PHOTO NEWS: Pondi Shocks Audience, Empowers 40 Entrepreneurs with ₦5 Million Each – Total Grant Hits ₦200 Million

What began as a ₦100 million business grant for 20 entrepreneurs took an unexpected turn when High Chief Kestin Pondi, Group Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, announced that all 40 shortlisted participants would receive ₦5 million each.

The announcement sparked tears of joy, cheers, and overwhelming gratitude as the additional 20 participants, who initially thought they had missed out, were suddenly included. The atmosphere at MBB Event Center, Effurun, Delta State, was electrifying as each entrepreneur stepped forward to receive their cheque, marking a life-changing moment.

After sharing my letter yesterday, many other Rivers people have reached out to me about similar experiences in the past. It was a rude shock. One person here lost an opportunity to bring an electric car assembling plant to the state.

Many of us here were very excited when governor Sim held the first state economic summit last year after nearly a decade. What we need to tell ourselves is that if we continue like this with our politics no one will want to do business here with us.

For every young business person in this state who just want an enabling environment to push their ideas and grow, the current situation of things is not encouraging and all parties from both sides should be engaged for sustainable peace before the next elections.
