A deeply disturbing report has emerged from Abuja, where billionaire businessman Chief Godwin Ademike was allegedly stabbed to death by his own son following a heated argument over money and lifestyle expectations.
According to reports, the tragic incident happened at his residence on Hassan Adamu Street, Guzape, Abuja, on Friday, May 15, 2026. What began as a family disagreement is said to have escalated into a fatal confrontation that has left many in shock.
Sources claim the dispute started when the son complained about receiving what he described as an “insufficient allowance,” insisting he deserved a lifestyle similar to other billionaire children. The argument reportedly intensified after the father accused him of mismanaging funds connected to a business entrusted to him.
Moments later, the situation allegedly turned violent, leading to the stabbing. The businessman, who was known for his investments in real estate across highbrow areas such as Lekki, Maitama, and Guzape, was rushed to Karu General Hospital where he was confirmed dead.
The suspect was reportedly arrested at the scene and is currently in police custody as investigations continue. At the time of the incident, he was said to be in the company of two ladies.
Chief Godwin Ademike was also widely known as an importer and exporter of electronics at Alaba International Market, where he built his reputation as a successful entrepreneur.
The shocking incident has sparked widespread reactions online, with many expressing disbelief over how a financial dispute within a family could allegedly lead to such a tragic outcome.
