Chelsea legend, John Terry has hit out at Arsenal for 'celebrating too much' during their celebrations after beating Chelsea in the League Cup semi-final. The Gunners beat their London rivals 1-0 at the Emirates to secure a 4-2 aggregate victory and book their spot in the March 22 Wembley final, where they will face Manchester City in a repeat of the 2018 final. For Arsenal, it is their first final since 2020 when they won the FA Cup by beating the Blues, while it is their first League Cup final since 2018 and a chance to win the competition for the first time since 1993. The North London side have not won a trophy under Mikel Arteta since the Covid FA Cup triumph, but they have come close in the Premier League three times. However, former Chelsea captain Terry believes the Arsenal celebrations for making the final showed how the pressure was on them at the moment. Speaking on his TikTok page, the five-time Premier League winner said: “I just want to talk on Arsenal’s celebrations after… let’s not forget, it’s the Carabao Cup, it’s not the Champions League final. “They celebrated far too much for me, I think that showed the pressure that’s on them at the moment. “I’ve said it before, Arsenal are looking the best team by far in the Premier League so far, and I think they’ve got the best squad in the Premier League so far. “They’ve got a lot of strength in depth, and I think they’ve been the best, but also, it certainly wasn’t the Champions League final that they’ve qualified to; it’s the Carabao Cup final. “Yes, it’s the first competition you can win, I think it’s really important, but that just showed me where the Arsenal team are at at the moment. “They can feel the nerves and I know every Arsenal fan out there is feeling what I’m feeling, that there’s still a chance [they could blow it].” Terry also gave his take on Liam Rosenior’s tactics, admitting he was disappointed with the passive mentality taken by Chelsea. He added: “I think against Arsenal, this year the two games I’ve seen, we’ve outplayed Arsenal. “So going into those games, I’ve never feared Arsenal anyway, in the league or in any competition. “I think it’s different if we’re in the Champions League semi-final, I think you’re approach then becomes a little bit cautious. “But it’s the Carabao Cup, we’ve won it many times, and we had nothing to fear, I don’t think, going into that. “I think the pressure was on Arsenal in the week, and I think we made it very easy for them at home as well, so disappointed with that, I think we left it far too late.”

Barcelona officially withdraw from European Super League project
Spanish giants, Barcelona have announced it has withdrawn from the Super League project, leaving Real Madrid as the only club still involved. A total of 12 clubs had initially joined the controversial breakaway competition back in 2021. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Tottenham, the six Premier League clubs involved, quickly withdrew following a backlash from fans. Atletico Madrid, AC Milan, and Inter Milan would follow suit, leaving Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Juventus. Juventus withdrew in 2024, with the Italian giants opting to rejoin the European Football Clubs (EFC). A statement from the club said: “FC Barcelona informs that today it has formally communicated to European Super League Company and the Clubs that have been part of its withdrawal from the ESL project.” The European Super League was unveiled in April 2021 as a breakaway competition designed to rival Uefa’s Champions League, built around a closed 20 team model. Barcelona president Joan Laporta had claimed back in 2023 that he remained convinced a Super League would still be launched. Last year, however, Laporta stressed that Barcelona were seeking to have closer ties with European football's governing body UEFA. 'We are committed to building bridges between the Super League and UEFA,' Laporta said in October. 'Barça's position is clear. Those affected and those concerned are already aware of that. We are in favour of pacification because there is a way forward for the clubs in the Super League to return to UEFA. 'We feel very close to UEFA and the EFC. It is important that we are there and that we implement everything that can be improved, both in UEFA and in the EFC.' Barcelona's withdrawal from the Super League comes four days after Laporta confirmed his board's resignation ahead of standing for re-election in the club's elections next month.

The wedding ceremony held in the National Mosque Abuja after which they proceeded to a big hall where the reception for all 10 children took place. Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu was in attendance and even received the brides on behalf of the Matawalles into the family. The President of São Tomé and Príncipe, Carlos Vila Nova, also attended the ceremony alongside Tinubu. Also present were the Deputy Senate President, Senator Jubril Barau, and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Politics and Other Matters, Ibrahim Masari.Governors at the event included Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State, Umar Namadi of Jigawa State, and Nasir Idris of Kebbi State. Matawalle, a former governor of Zamfara State, gave out five of his daughters: Maryam, Safiyya, Farida, Nana Firdausi, and Aisha, in marriage. Five of his sons: Ibrahim, Abdul Jalal, Surajo, Bello, and Fahad, also got married on the same day. The officiating Imam, Prof. Luqman Zakariyah, prayed to Allah to bless the marriages, grant success to the couples in their life journeys, and bless their parents and grandparents. Analogue is back with another hit of N64 nostalgia, but with colorways that are deep cuts for even the biggest Nintendo nerds. Analogue announced its latest run of limited edition versions of its 3D console, this time drawing inspiration from a batch of prototype colorways for the original N64 that were manufactured but never hit the market. Now, the Analogue 3D will come in Ghost, Glacier, Extreme Green, Ocean and yes, even Atomic Purple.It may just be a cosmetic upgrade, but it's worth noting that each of the colorways has matching cables, power adapters and 16GB SD cards that come preinstalled.
