BEFORE YOU QUIT YOUR JOB
There is nothing wrong with having a job...
In fact any speaker or guru that tells you to simply go and fire your boss isn't wishing you well... Tell such persons Tufiakwa...
Of a truth, a job alone CANNOT make you rich...
But when you understand that you can use the income from your job to buy assets that produce money for you even while you sleep, then you have found the purpose of your job.
The primary purpose of a job isn't to pay bills... Sadly this is what 96 percent of people think it is...
The primary purpose of a job is to help you buy Freedom from hard work...
So you can be able to live your dream lifestyle without having to sweat forever...
Don't get me wrong, jobs can be very very stressful... But there are things to know before you quit your job...
Here are 10 lessons from the book "BEFORE YOU QUIT YOUR JOB " by Robert Kiyosaki
1) UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ASSETS AND LIABILITIES:
An asset puts money in your pocket whether you work or not, a liability takes money from your pocket.
2) KNOW YOUR FREEDOM NUMBER
If you are to live your dream lifestyle, how much do you need to pay all your bills per month without you needing to do any work?
3) KNOW YOUR FREEDOM DATE
When would you want to achieve your freedom number?
4) KNOW WHY YOU ARE WORKING
When the purpose of work is unknown, the abuse of work becomes inevitable.
You are not working just to pay bills and flex.. You are working to build a portfolio of income-generating assets. The more assets you acquire with your work, the faster you can achieve your freedom number.
5) LEARN THE 2 LEGS OF MONEY:
There is nothing wrong with working for money... The only thing is you don't have the physical ability to work forever.
So let your money work for you.
Business is what you do that brings money to you... Investment is what your money does that brings money to you... These are the 2 legs of money.
6) WEALTH EDUCATION IS THE KEY:
Isn't it funny that when people want to become doctors and lawyers, they must first go to school but when it comes to money they do otherwise?
The shortest distance between poverty and prosperity is not poverty alleviation, it is wealth education.
7) START PRACTICING MONEY MANAGEMENT
You don't get rich before you manage money, you manage money so you can get rich.
The future of a mango tree is in a mango seed; the future of every one naira is in the kobos in it...
A portion of all you earn is for you to keep and invest.
8) START SMALL, START NOW:
Before you sack your boss, start a part-time business while still employed. It helps you to gain experience and minimize financial risks.
9) EMBRACE FAILURE:
See failure as a valuable learning experience and a stepping stone to success.
Every master was once a rookie.. You can't succeed if you don't fail.
10) BUILD RELATIONSHIPS:
Find a model...
Find a Mentor...
Find a Mate...
Find a Mentee...
There are doors that open because there is a knock and there are doors that open because of WHO is knocking.
BONUS LESSON:
FIND YOUR BIG WHY...
It's your big why that will keep pushing you to embrace the odds and keep going when things get tough.
Are you doing it for yourself or your family?
Why do you want to be free?
What legacy do you want to live?
Do you want to be used as an example or as a warning??
Please share your thoughts with me..
It's an extraordinary day
