Dear Reader,

Here's what I noticed about the homo sapien species...

Many times, we get so pumped, we over-estimate what we can do in a short time, and severely underestimate what can happen to us within the span of a longer time.

Let me explain.

It's 2021, and many of you folks have outlined a thousand and one thing you want to achieve this year...

And it must all happen.
Right?

But it won't.
And you may feel a tad bad.

Why?
There's a process to things.

How many of y'all think longer term thoughts?
What would you be doing, and where would you be in the next 5 years?

Churn your goals into realistic bits, and enclose them in shorter time frames...
And watch yourself take one victory from the other.

It's a journey of consistency...
Not magnitude.

Stay Jiggy,
Adepitan Erioluwa.

Note to self (cash in if you want):

Sometimes, just sometimes, take your eyes off money.

Focus (and truly mean it) on delivering raw value in its utmost purity to people...

Even sometimes for free!

Money will automatically chase you.. Pants down.

You should try it.

Thank you later.

I HAD DINNER WITH SATAN HIMSELF...

Intrigued?
Your prospect will be too.

Matter of fact, never mind that he has about 50/100 unread emails... He'll open yours first.

And he'll open it in a haste.

Why?
I ask why not?

Two major reasons:

1. You'd have locked his attention

This is hands-down, the most important feat you must achieve in email marketing.
You can be sure you won't make any sales if your client doesn't even open your letter.

Note that the purpose of your headline is not to sell to your client (a giant mistake many marketers make) ... It's to capture their attention.

Here's the oldest trick in the book...

Making controversial and outrageous claims.

2. You've aroused an emotion.

If your headline is not triggering any emotional responses from your customer, you've failed.

Remember how we discussed earlier? Customers buy with emotions... Not logic.

In this case, you'd have triggered curiosity.
"Did you really eat with the devil?"
"Did he drink blood?"
"You went to hell?"

And many more...
Which is good for you!

Doesn't have to be curiousity.
Could be fear, lust, anger...

Anything at all.
But let them feel something when they read your headline.

Master the art of proper headlining, and watch your sales increase by over 100%.

Stay Jiggy,

Adepitan Erioluwa.

Have you ever entertained the truth that your prospective client has hundreds of people like you trying to gain his attention?

It's why you MUST be different.
You MUST stand out.

There's no better way of standing out than by immediately seizing the attention of your prospect.

And there's no better way to do this than with powerful headlines.

I'll tell you all about it tomorrow.

Stay Jiggy,

Adepitan Erioluwa.

Quick Tip:

Don't sell products.

Your prospective client couldn't care less about what you do or don't sell.

Sell ideas instead.

You see that gap that your product/service will bridge?

Make a story out of it.

And sell it.

I don't know what to tell you tonight folks.

And neither am I going to lie, nor feel ashamed about it.

Reminiscing and reflecting on the events of this concluding year has been an emotional roller-coaster...

And I believe it has somehow positioned me better for the New Year and all it holds.

If you've lived today as just another random day, I seriously doubt it's in your best interest.

You have roughly one more hour, and 2020's a wrap.

Reflect a little.
And give thanks to your God/whatever you believe in.

You'll be glad you did.

If that's not good enough business advice for you, I'm not sorry.

Happy New Year!

Adepitan Erioluwa.

Every man will say he's loyal to his wife/fiancée.

Yet, all hotel rooms are occupied on the weekends, with strange sounds emanating from them...
And it's not praise and worship.

If you want to make money, and loads of it, learn to observe.

While others are in a hurry to get things started, simply observe.

It won't take long before you figure out one thing...

What people say, and what they do are worlds apart.

In Gary Halbert's letters to his son, he explained that in becoming a student of the markets, the only way to deduce what people buy is to observe what they DO buy...

Not what they say they buy.

Many folks will give what they feel is the right answer when you ask them these questions...

It's why they will lie to your face that the Bible is their favorite book, when they sleep with Pl***oy Magazines beneath their pillows.

Stay Jiggy,

Adepitan Erioluwa.

PS: Oh, I'm still recovering, but I'm way better now, thank you.

Maybe we don't have big problems. Maybe we just have wack problem-solving strategies.

I find it funny you know...

Only last week, I was boasting to a friend how I've kept 2020 on a no-malaria-drugs streak.

Like no drugs at all.

If I was feeling one kinda way, all I'd do is sleep... And I'd be alright.

Little did I know...

In the space of 3/4 days, I've used more drugs than I've ever used in my lifetime (maybe I'm kidding, maybe I'm not)

But you get my point.

Just got back from the hospital (as a patient, I may add), and the doctor loaded me with fresh meds.

Don't do self-medication kids. One would think I'd know better as a medical student, but oh well...

How does any of this concern you?

I honestly don't know.

Stay Jiggy,
Adepitan Erioluwa.

PS: Maybe you can learn from my story to not count your eggs before they hatch.

In business, sales isn't made off promisory statements from customers... Sales is made only when there has been a transfer of funds, in exchange for your goods/services.

A thousand promises equals no sales.

Make your offer so good, clients pay on the spot... They don't wait to "think about it" or "check in with my wife".

Someday, maybe I'll show you how.

Good health is seriously underrated.

For most of today, all I've done is sleep, and cry, and shiver, and altogether feel like garbage.

My head hurts, my mouth tastes like bitter leaf, and I'm hotter than Beyoncé.

No appetite, no nothing.

I'm wrapped up in a shawl like a baby, my teeth jamming each other... But I'm writing anyway.

Why am I telling you this?

You see, in business, challenges WILL come... And they're the perfect excuse to close shop and draw the curtain.

But don't.

Re-strategize, customize your services, and phase through those challenges.

You'll be glad you did.

I don't even know if that sounds as good to you as it does to me, but I do know I must get some rest.

Stay Jiggy,
Adepitan Erioluwa.

PS: It's not COVID... It's just nasty malaria. I think so sha.

Hey Guys...

I'm not so sure if it's a change in the weather, but I've been a bit under the weather for the last few hours.

Fever.
Cold.
Headache.

You know the drill...

Nonetheless, I have an assignment for you.

Read up on Market Research.

Let me know what you find in the comment section.

Stay Healthy,

Adepitan Erioluwa.

Box your fears and insecurities in the face, and take that giant leap of faith despite the many uncertainties.

You might be an Anthony Joshua... But you never know until you try.
