Have you ever been termed lucky for what you worked your ass out for?
Mixed feelings.
Sometimes funny, sometimes surprising and sometimes it’s simply annoying. How could they not have seen all the effort and hard work put into the project?
Well, people have always been judgmental. People will always judge a book by its cover. People have always been like that and will probably forever be like that. Mind you, only two people out of ten will end up reading the book to get the actual content. So it’s the voice of two over eight😀.
The Topic “Hard-work and Lucky” has always been somehow controversial. Some people believed people can actually be lucky, that things can work out with little or no effort and can be maintained like that too. While, some people do not. They believed life is a process, and one step leads to another. Sometimes, people can take double steps and sometimes it’s just one at a time.
I’ve got few questions here;
If life can be based on luck, should all of us just retire and wait for luck?
If we all retire, who will be the benefactor?
I believe luck will happen to everyone at least once in a lifetime. But the expectation of luck shouldn’t displace the actual preparation of success as a result of hard-work.
I’ve met people who don’t mind doing little or nothing and are absolutely waiting for luck to happen. Some have experienced it in a way before but in a small way according to them. Now, they are simply waiting for luck to happen to them in a big way that’ll change their story. Some who know them want to be like them are coveting their lifestyle, sometimes exactly or in a bigger way.
I believe people like this have always missed out a question that could have triggered a new school of thought.
Who is my envisaged Benefactor?
What is the lifestyle of the Benefactor?
Was the Benefactor Lucky?
Did this Benefactor worked out his benefits or waited for luck to happen?
If it was luck, has luck been able to sustain this Benefactor?
What will always differentiate between people’s output is firstly their foundation then what they picked up as they journey. When I mean foundation, I’m not necessarily talking about focusing on one thing. Because sometimes people prepare for one thing and end up doing another. Which is quite okay. But rather what they were doing, the actions they were talking towards the success of what they want.
People change, plans change. As people grow, some people realize what they’ve always wanted isn’t what they want anymore. And changing to what they currently believe in shouldn’t be a point of conflict.
What will simply help them succeed in the new chosen path is the simple act of commitment they’ve had in the past. That’s why it seems as if some people just shows up in a sector and they’re everywhere. Maybe they’ve been investing too much in the wrong thing and they just found their track.
Either ways, it is always good to be consistent. Sometimes consistent for some people is doing the same thing over and over till they hit it. While for other people it’s not just giving up on trying.
I read the testimony of someone who has made it big in the online space today, he said he has been in the online space for over 7 yrs before he finally got it right. He was simply consistent showing up and trying things out in the online space. That’s his consistency. While someone might only need to focus on manufacturing and selling the same thing for years until he breaks through.
The point is not just to give up. Not to quit trying, or give in to mediocrity because it poised to be a fast route. Most especially when you finally discover your path, you’ll know. Because everything will align.
Stay consistent
Keep grinding
I’m rooting for you ✌🏽.
