Yes!
With the current state of things most if not everything has gone digital.
A lot of businesses are now focusing on the digital world! So if you don't have a digital skill, you might never be employed!
Well except you are a medical doctor ( but now I've seen a couple of doctors build an app for their services and that's because people no longer want to go to the hospital, queuing for hours to see a doctor).
This is why employers would rather pay a digitally inclined person than a first class student with no digital skill.
So what's my advice?
Learn a digital skill!
Be it web developing, graphic design, digital marketing, copy writing etc learn at least One Skill.
Even if you are an entrepreneur, for your business to really skyrocket you need to get it to the world (except you just want to sell to your family and friends) you need to showcase your business where the whole world can see it, Go digital with your business! stop going from house to house, shop to Shop, and begging your friends to patronize you!
You can close on in millions weekly by simply using your phone/laptop, its possible you just have to learn.
Now before you say "My business is already online, " how many sales do you make on a daily? Is it enough to say "you are doing well"?
Who buys from you? How many people know you or your business asides family members, friends, neighbors, or church people?
Stats has it that about 4.66billion people of the world's population are active internet users, facebooks has about 2.80billion monthly active users, 1.074billion active Instagram users.
So with these stats you can quickly grade your business, in case you are Nigerian, over 31million Nigerians are active on Facebook and almost 7million users on Instagram.
So I am going to ask you again, HOW IS YOUR BUSINESS FARING? What percentage of these people are your customers? 5%, 100% ?
Getting people to know your business is good, but that's not why you are out here, the goal is to make sales! So while they know you, they should buy from you, and get others to buy from you too!
Note: people only buy from who they Know, like or trust.
So how do you build this,
While trying to build a massive customer base?
You see, digital (online) marketing is not all about putting out your business, there are dynamics, strategies, do's and donts', what you need to know etc.
without the knowledge of these, you might just ruin your business or put it in a place where it will never "blow" no matter how much you eventually put into it.
And before you think you can always pay a digital marketer to do the job..
know I am a digital marketer and to an extent I kinda take clients business like mine, that's the only way I can put out my best, but not all marketers do that!
Infact they could just use a template, edit it to fit your business and boom its online, most don't care whether you make sales or not as long as you've paid!
Must of us don't take out time to research your business, and look for the right audience what we call the target market, we just draft an advert,add pictures of your product( if its a physical product) and post on Facebook and Instagram.
