SALES IS A PROCESS
Most entrepreneurs are yet understand this.
Recently, a client wanted to run ad on her page.
We enquired from her if she would want us to manage the page for her? She said no. She needed to just run the ad with reference to her budget. We took the business and charged her a token.
I guess she didn't understand that managing a social media handle for a business doesn't mean only to create and share contents thereby engaging the audience.
That it also includes managing the sales process which entails ensuring that potential customers walk down the aisle to the last point of the customer journey - decision stage.
The customer journey and explicitly, the sales process runs through three stages: a] The Awareness Stage b] The Consideration Stage and c] The Decision State.
Every ad you run on any platform brings your product or services to the knowledge of your audience, which is at the awareness stage. Anyone that engage with your ad either through , , or is interested in your product and services. This person should now be moved into your sales funnel (we talk about sales funnel another day).
There after, you are expected to sale to the prospective customers by letting them know why they should buy from you and now. This is where the you your brand.
Website makes this easy as customers can get self service if redirected to your site where a lot of information is already stored. Nonetheless, you have to personalized the journey by interacting with the customer as a person they can share their needs and desires with, not just a business that doesn't care.
Some firms try to use Bot to do this but Bot cannot replace human beings as it will not be able to tackle issues personally and won't recognize the emotional impact and needs of each customer.
What you are able to do at this second stage will determine if the will decide to buy now, later or never.
So, you can see that is a process.
