Define the course of your life.
When trouble and calamity comes, then you will be able to know those that really care for you. When things are rosy everybody is your friend, “proverb 19:4 – wealth makes many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour”. You will never be relevant to the people and society if you have nothing tangible to offer them.
Relations, friends and church members will desert you when they see that the tides has turned negatively for you, same set of people that sang your praises few moments ago will also be those that will say crucify him, this is the life we are now living.
They want you to be alive but not to prosper, you will naturally become their enemy when you refused or unable to do their biddings, once celebrated will become the rejected. Life begins where your comfort zone ends, we must endeavour to travel out from our comfort zone, no one will be there for you forever, exploit a new ground, depend on yourself and walk your way to the top.
Your time is now to break new grounds, it’s already late, but it won’t be too late if you can start now. Plan your time accurately and do the needful. Flowers may bloom again, but a person never has the chance to be young again. So don't waste your time. A small hole not mended in time will become a big hole much more difficult to mend.
A boat can't always sail with the wind; an army can't always win battles. We must be ready to face any of our life challenges, challenges are part of our life. It is impossible to have smooth sailing all the time, but it’s very important that we brace up for it so that we won’t be caught unaware or prepared.
With adequate planning and preparation we can sail through the storm of life. Even if we all start the race same time we can’t get to the finish line same time, lots of factors will be responsible to this. Our planning from the starts will go a long way to determine how it ends.
Sometimes we compare our achievement with other; everyone is unique in his own ways, we might get involved in same thing without getting same result, be yourself and do it your own way, after all its your life – guide it with your strengths.
Think of crafting your life vision as mapping a path to your personal and professional dreams. Life satisfaction and personal happiness are within reach. The harsh reality is that if you don’t develop your own vision, you’ll allow other people and circumstances to direct the course of your life. Take a bold step toward achieving your dreams and aspirations for life you want to see.
Don’t expect a clear and well-defined vision overnight—envisioning your life and determining the course you will follow requires time, and reflection. You need to cultivate vision and perspective, and you also need to apply logic and planning for the practical application of your vision. Your best vision blossoms from your dreams, hopes, and aspirations. It will resonate with your values and ideals, and will generate energy and enthusiasm to help strengthen your commitment to explore the possibilities of your life.
Allowing yourself to explore your deepest desires can be very frightening. You may also not think you have the time to consider something as fanciful as what you want out of life, but it’s important to remind yourself that a life of fulfilment does not usually happen by chance, but by design.
It’s helpful to ask some thought-provoking questions to help you discover the possibilities of what you want out of life. Consider every aspect of your life, personal and professional, tangible and intangible. Contemplate all the important areas, family and friends, career and success, health and quality of life, spiritual connection and personal growth, and don’t forget about fun and enjoyment.
Allow yourself to dream, imagine, and create a vivid picture of the future you are craving for. If you can’t visualize a picture, focus on how your best life would feel. If you find it difficult to envision your life 20 or 30 years from now, start with five years—even a few years into the future will give you a place to start. What you see may surprise you. Set aside preconceived notions. This is your chance to dream and fantasize.
We can make the difference if we all brace up for the challenges and learn from our mistakes. Take that bold step now and be who you want to be. It’s your own world RULE IT.
