There is a latin maxim that says ignorantia juris neminen non excusat which translates to mean that ignorance of the law is not an excuse. This explains why it is quite significant as a citizen of Nigeria to be abreast of the extant laws of the land before one ventures into any aimless and fruitless discussions and passage of vituperative remarks about the actions and decisions of this administration because of political sentiments and primordial affiliations of any sort.
A lot of People are today criticizing the actions of the present Government without of course reading or having firm grip of the Local Government Law of Plateau State and unknown to our People, the actions of the Governor and indeed the State Assembly are justified by a legal instrument warranting and permitting such an exercise in that respect thereof.
To begin with, the 9th Assembly led by Rt. Hon. Abok Ayuba received petitions bothering on complains and or allegations of infractions and financial embezzlements and misappropriations by the various chairmen of the 17 Local Government Areas. The said Chairmen were invited but out of disregard and disrespect to the legislative puissance, refused to honour the invitation which resulted to the suspension of the said Chairmen to enable smooth investigations of the alleged infractions according to law. The State Assembly derived inspiration to act in such manner by virtue of Section 6 of the Plateau State Local Government Council Law, 2016. Legal Notice No. 3 Vol. 1 published on the 29th August 2018 which provides:

We are constrained to alart the Public on matters of urgen public importance concerning the state the outgoing administration of Governor Simon Bako Lalong had for the past 8 years driven the state into a pit, a government that wasted 8 years on frivolities is now ploting evil agenda against the State with the sole goal of expanding the state payroll and incurring crippling contractual obligations.

With barely few weeks to go, the speciality of the Lalong's administration is not preparation of handing over note but actions in violation of due process, procurement laws and state manpower. planing agenda. But as a responsible party and our newly elected Governor of Plateau State Barr Caleb Mutfwang and his team has the scored duty to alert the public of anti people vindictive decision of the state governor.

We are alerting the public to save the state from further fiscal haemorrhage and secondly to alert unsuspecting members of the public of the weak grounds of the illegal engagement of the outgoing government.
Having presided over the most corrupt, disunited, disorganised and arrogant government in the history of Plateau state which has brought unprecedented hardship, political chaos and insecurity
for the past 8 years has now shamelessly in his desperation has now embarked on another plot of employing his families and cronies into government ministries and agencies without recourse to qualification and due process having failed the People.

We are aware of the plot to convert government houses at Dogon Dutse and other properties for their personal interest, the continued employment ongoing in college of health, Poly, college of education and other government agencies in the state.

What single thing you're thinking when seeing this?.

Me i see lots of joy in Lalong's heart for the emergence of Caleb Mutfwang as the Governor of plateau state. You cannot kick the plate that is used to serve you food with and expect to get another ready tomorrow on your table. The true story is now unveiling itself from those responsible for the lost in the election on the side of the APC administration.

Lalong in his own gentility and simplicity gave APC stakeholders the clear chance to retain the leadership of the Governor in the state but money which was the Paramount needs of the stakeholders and party leaders, they collected the money for campaign and kept in their homes expecting the same Man "Lalong" as the Governor of the state to use his power to declare even if they didn't win the election. They all forgot that a boundary was created between him and them since from the National Assembly election that led to his defeat. In this game only the righteous survive the bullet.

However, Lalong in his right senses decided to purnish them with their act. You cannot enjoy what you didn't labour for. All the nuisance and noise makers are selfish and evil thinking that Lalong will do something that will spoil the little reputation he got. They awarded him as the best and peaceful Governor but at same time want him to declare a victory to someone else.

Lalong has already gone with what he has achieved all his 8 years of governance. So is left for APC members who have chosen to keep money that was meant for campaigns to start spending and wait till no day, month or year.
