My 2019 goals must be achieved😀😀
TIRED OF UNDERACHIEVED PLANS/GOALS?, THEN THIS IS FOR YOU...
A lot of individuals and businesses have started setting goals and objectives for 2019,
But to avoid setting underachieved goals, here are some few things you need to know about setting goals, objectives, and plans for 2019.
Most times businesses or individuals end up with underachieved business and personal goals because they don't set smart goals, meaning the problem is from the beginning.
Setting goals is more than sitting back and thinking what you want and writing it down as a goal to be achieved in the next year (wanting a jet does not make you put it in your next year's list as a goal for the year, a lot of factors determines if it will be achieved or not) ... It involves knowing your want and need but it's much more than that.
What are SMART goals?
SMART goals are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-bound goals set up for the maximum achievement of goals...
I won't bore you definitions and analogy, let's look at how you can use SMART goals in drafting out your 2019 and beyond goals
1. Specific
Your goal must be specific, pointing to a direction, being focus on a thing or place, for example, you don't just say you want to be a millionaire next year 😒, the question next will be how? To what means? A millionaire doing what?
But your goal can be I want to increase the sales of my business so I can make at least a millionaire naira profit excluding next year
2. Measurable
Your goals must be measurable, you can be able to carry out analysis on it and know how the level you are in and the level you will be in or a date when they can be achieved, for example, saying I want to be wealthy, Really? "Just by like that?" Wealthy is different to to different people, to some when they make a million, and another when they hit 50 billion. So dear that goal is immeasurable.
3. Attainable
Having calculated everything, your cost, salary, time period, can that goal really be achieved in next year (don't get me wrong, I believe in instant and unusual favour, but let's stay in the natural first before looking at the supernatural).
From our example... You cannot say you want to be a millionaire next year when you are not working or carrying out your business? The likelihood is very slim, plan what you can actually achieve, you can take it a step at a time, and plan for *getting a job or starting a business this year, then go for making a millionaire naira*
4. Relevant
How relevant is that goal to you at this time in your life, is it important, needed, when gotten is it going to prove something useful right away? A realistic goal takes into account the practical situation
For example setting goal to be a millionaire, when you are still in 15 (yes I know there are billionaires that are in that age range), but you being 15, struggling with school, without a job or a menial job, just sit back and think about it for a while, and tell me your outcome.
And lastly, you must set a time bound goal
5. Time bound
Know if it is a short-term objective, or a long term goal, don't just jump into a plan without setting the exact time of completion or a time duration, procrastination loves a plan that isn't time bound.
My goal *I want to be a millionaire*, when? Starting from which time? When will you sit back to check if you have achieved it?
A. SMART GOAL CAN BE
*I Want to make at least a million naira from my business, by the end of October 2019, by increasing sales personnel or increasing production of my product to maximize profit*
Also be committed to seeing your goals being accomplished, do not take laziness as a friend, but take determination as your side babe and hard work as your wife (trust me they will help you)
And in all things, put God first (unless the Lord builds a house the builder builds in vain)
So basically what I am trying to say is set a Smart goal for your self and business and be diligent, to avoid ending of the year with regrets for underachieved goals.
