📌 *TOP TEN THINGS YOU MUST KNOW BEFORE NYSC REGISTRATION*

While we await the registration date for Batch 'C' PCMs, I will be dropping registration hints and guidelines to help the concerned people get prepared. In this edition, here are the top 10 things you should know for a stress free online registration:

1. The official websites of the NYSC are portal.nysc.gov.ng, nysc.org.ng and portal.nysc.org.ng. Do not fall for phishing websites.

2. You cannot register if you name is not on the senate list. Here is the link to check https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1/VerifySenateLists.aspx. Ensure to inquire from your school when they are uploading senate list for batch C.

3. Carefully refer to this article for the requirements for NYSC online registration. https://nyscwhatsappgroup.com/nysc-online-registration/

4. NYSC has revised their registration procedures so henceforth, only accredited cyber cafés are eligible to register PCMs. Check this link for the list of accredited cyber cafés in your area. https://nysccbo.org.ng/nyscbo/public/index.php/accredited/cbo/list

5. You must have a functional email address. Do not make use of the cyber cafe's email because you will definitely need it in the future. Gmail is advised and it is pretty easy to create one.

6. Ensure you register with an active phone number. NYSC might communicate you through the phone number in the future or you might even need it to reset your password at some point. An active phone number will come handy.

7. You will pay the sum of 3,000 naira online with your debit card. This is an optional payment but it is compulsory if you want to print your call up letter online. If you choose not to pay, you can go back to your institution to pick up your call-up letter.

8. Biometric verification must be done by every prospective corps member and not via proxy. Make sure you complete the process because it is very important. If you're having problem getting your fingerprints captured, wash your hand with soap and water and try again.

10. Ensure you are actively present at the cyber cafe when your registration is being done. Some information would be collected via the form that you can’t just leave for someone else to guess for you.

11. Your Green card and Call Up Letter should be printed in colored and not black and white printer. You can also download them in PDF format and save if you intend to print.

📌 It must be issued at any government or military hospital after basic health diagnosis.
📌 The purpose is to confirm your health status and fitness level for camp activities.

*Medical Report*💡
👉🏾 It is not required for camp registration but useful for some specific situations.
👉🏾 It must be issued by a doctor who is familiar with your medical history and special needs.
👉🏾 It helps to support applications for relocation, camp exit, or even camp exemption due to health concerns.

*KEY DIFFERENCES*💡
✅ Fitness certificate is for camp registration while medical report is for specific needs like exit, relocation, etc.
