Tantita Boosts Naval Welfare, Maritime Security with New Projects in Warri
Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited on Monday strengthened its collaboration with the Nigerian Navy with the commissioning of several infrastructure projects at the Nigerian Navy Base, Warri, Delta State, as part of efforts to support personnel welfare, operational efficiency, and maritime security.
Speaking on behalf of the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Engr. Kestin Pondi, the Executive Director, Operations and Technical, Captain (Dr.) Warredi Enisuoh, said the projects were undertaken in recognition of the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces in protecting Nigeria’s critical national infrastructure.
He noted that since Tantita was assigned the responsibility of securing strategic national assets in 2022, several lives had been lost in the line of duty, making it necessary to support agencies working tirelessly to safeguard the nation.
According to him, the intervention reflects Tantita’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with security agencies, particularly the Nigerian Navy, whose operational support remains critical to the company’s success across Nigeria’s waterways and offshore assets.
“These are men and women who have committed their lives for the safety of the nation. This project is only a modest contribution compared to the sacrifices they make daily,” he stated.
Projects commissioned include a 30 x 1 Senior Rates Self-Contain Transit Accommodation, Executive Officer’s Institutional House, remodeled Fleet Support Group Central Administrative Block, volleyball and lawn tennis courts, as well as newly constructed car parks.
Representing the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abbas, the Flag Officer Commanding Central Naval Command, Rear Admiral Suleiman Ibrahim, commended Tantita Security Services for the timely delivery of the projects, describing the intervention as significant and impactful.
He noted that the partnership between the Nigerian Navy and Tantita remains strategic to the protection of Nigeria’s maritime domain and oil infrastructure, adding that enhanced collaboration would strengthen national security and create opportunities for economic growth.
Rear Admiral Ibrahim said the new facilities would significantly improve the comfort, welfare, and effectiveness of naval personnel.
Enisuoh further pledged that Tantita would continue to initiate more support projects for the Armed Forces, stressing that improved maritime security would attract investors and boost national productivity.
The commissioning ceremony attracted senior naval officers, personnel of the Fleet Support Group Central, representatives of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, and key stakeholders in the maritime and oil sectors.
