Ik vroeg AI een verhaal te schrijven bij de foto. Hij heeft een ietwat poëtische dag vandaag vrees ik, maar ik doe het er voor.

“Bij een serene poel tussen de eilanden van de Westeinderplassen stond een eenzame zwemtrap, ietwat verweerd door de jaren. Het fluisterde verhalen van gelach en duiken, van zonnige dagen en vurige zonsondergangen. Generaties van zwemmers hadden er hun sprongen gewaagd, hun jeugd beleefd. Nu omarmde het de stilte, een getuige van tijd die voorbijging. Maar op zomeravonden, als het maanlicht het meer streelde, kwamen de herinneringen tot leven, danste het verleden op de treden en leefde de geest van het avontuur voort.”
