When we took on the Dar Bul Bul project, we made one decision early: everything had to come from the place. The hotel’s name, House of the bird, set the tone. Quiet. Rooted. Alive with small, beautiful things. We drew the color palette directly from the landscape: the warm tones of the sand, the golden orange of the calendula flowers that bloom across the property. Those same flowers inspired the logo. Their form abstracted into something minimal and timeless.

The brand shapes came next, derived from the architecture surrounding us; the graceful arches of the windows and doorsteps, the angular presence of the pyramids, the fluid curves of the dunes. Every element had an origin. Nothing was invented. The result is an identity that feels calm and elegant because it is built from calm, elegant things. We then wrapped it in a motion language as slow and deliberate as the desert itself. Because a place this considered deserves a brand that never rushes.

Maison Lab is a renowned outlet shop that focuses on high-end fashion brands and tailor-made advice. After the great success, they decided after only four years to take the plunge from being an online-only store to a physical store in Hasselt’s Demerstraat. For this, the owners felt that a rebranding was in order. Maison Lab is a family business of the Labyed family, a sparkling dynamic between the personalities of the brother and sisters. We have translated this symbiosis into the corporate identity, including website, communication, and various packaging featuring the dynamic pattern.
