This Saturday it’s time for our second live stream at Operator. The evening will be curated by our resident Rosillon, so besides his vinyl-only set we will have the pleasure to welcome another artist with a love for the deeper side of electronic music. Discovering the talented Rambadu was in that regard a natural course of action as his releases on his label ‘Rambadu’ speak for themselves. Having support from many respected artists of the genre he is definitely someone to keep an eye on as he has exciting projects coming up in the near future.

We’re looking forward to it and hope you will experience some new music!

Our fourth series has come to an end and we’re grateful for the time and effort the artist took to contribute to SALON. We’re proud to be a platform where there is room for both upcoming and already established artists. We find this balance important as we believe that both can learn from each other’s interpretation of electronic music.

In addition, we would like to thank our loyal community for their ongoing support. We understand that the lack of perspective can be frustrating, to say the least, but your support truly matters to us. It stimulates us to keep doing what we love and we’re excited to keep introducing you to new artists and their sound.

For the next episode of SALON we’ve invited Greek DJ and producer VÅGH. The last couple of years he has been focused on shaping his disctinctive sound while keeping a genuine artistic approach. This hard work paid off as he managed to put out music on labels such as Dynamic Reflection, Casanova Bar and Suara.

For his podcast for SALON he decided to start off with an atmospheric and minimalistic approach focused on welcoming the listener and guiding their mindset into the right direction. Once the direction is set the rhythm intensifies and the listener is drawn deep into mind bending sounds. Combining this with a stomping low end one can be certain of unleashing that inner fire.

We’re proud to hear our residents grow despite the current situation. Everyone is coping with these times in their own way and for RON L this includes finding comfort in other music genres. By broadening his musical horizon he manages to keep himself inspired and deliver the drive and energy he’s known for so well.

In this set RON L aimed to translate the energy he would provide in a peak-time club experience. By using dark hypnotic soundscapes in combination with lots of energetic drive he manages to mesmerize the dancefloor and give them a dynamic experience. He aims to create an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect where the listener can fully let go and indulge in the moment. This magical dancefloor experience is something we all miss a lot, but thanks to RON L we have some new perspective on what to expect once the sound systems are fired up again.

As we spend most of our time at home we are delighted with DIEDE’s long and energetic SALON podcast. The founder of Nachtwerk. based in Amersfoort, is rapidly building his way as an artist. His talent is not only recognized in the Netherlands as he played his first international gig in 2019 in Seoul’s infamous club Faust.

Besides his development as a musician, he also puts a lot of time into training his spirit through meditation which is noticeable in the way he selects his tracks and constructs his sets. This well-sorted balance makes the podcast very comfortable for the mind and body.

To kick-start 2021 we’ve invited Orphic resident Lobster to contribute to SALON. But first things first:

Happy new year everyone!! May 2021 be a healthy year for the event/music industry in all respects.

Lobster is an established Dutch artist with a lot of experience behind his name. He profiles himself with a sound that can be characterized as an up-tempo, groovy sound which he accompanies with heavy low-end. He manages to keep the energy high at all-time and knows how to give each track the right attention in his mix.

Until recently, Lobster asked himself what his musical image actually is. This led to a self-reflection in which he has decided to focus solely on characterizing his musical vision into that recognizable Lobster sound. We couldn't think of a better artist to kick off 2021 in terms of a fresh start.
