Proud Achievement: Nepali student Kisan Khatri, who grew up in a farming family and studied at a government school in Pyuthan, has completed his PhD in Physics from Temple University, USA, in just 3 years and 10 months. He joined the university on a full scholarship in 2022 and conducted research in Biophysics using AI and machine learning to study proteins and drug resistance in cancer-related mutations. He worked on five research projects, published two papers in Q1 journals, received the 2023 Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award, and contributed research that inspired the development of an AI-based protein design model.
