Who is She invented Wi-Fi?
-She is the most beautiful woman in the cinema world and thanks to her we have Wi-Fi.
Her name is Hedwig Eva Maria Kiesler, better known as Hedy Lamarr.
She was a Viennese of Jewish descent passionate about technology and with a vocation for theater and cinema. In Hollywood, and first in Germany, where she began her career and then fled to avoid the N***s, she was considered the most beautiful woman in the world, and in fact, her photos and films confirm that she was incredibly beautiful and talented.
What few in Hollywood suspected was that the brunette starring alongside Spencer Tracy or Clark Gable was also a communications engineer extraordinaire capable of inventing and patenting a missile remote-control system.
Although this invention was patented in 1942, the U.S. Department of Defense did not accept the technology until the 1960s, during the Cuban missile crisis. Hedy Lamarr's ingenious invention has become a cornerstone for the development of modern Wi-Fi technology.
In short, if we can connect wireless to cell phones, PCs and tablets to networks today, we owe Hedy Lamarr.
