🏁FIA KARTING CHAMPIONSHIP - PHILLIPS 6th in HEAT 1🏁
Amelia Phillips started Qualifying Heat 1 in P8 having earnt the position with a P6 and P3 in the first 2 Sprint Races of the weekend. The 10min (+1 lap) qualifying heat saw Phillips working hard to keep her position, and making her way up to sixth across the line!!

🏁 PHILLIPS MEETS MACAU! 🏁

16-year-old Amelia Phillips from the Manawatu is off on a new adventure this weekend (11–13 September), heading to Macau for the FIA Arrive & Drive Asia Pacific Championship.

As New Zealand’s sole representative, Phillips will line up against a field of 24 drivers from across the Asia-Pacific region.

Fresh from Round 4 of the 2026 Penrite Australian Karting Championship and a 5th place finish in the NZ Rotax Max Challenge Series, Phillips currently leads the Hampton Downs NZ Racing Academy KartStars Series.

Now, the Giltrap Group backed karter faces a whole new challenge, her first race outside Australasia, a new circuit and a completely different race format featuring sprint races, a reverse grid and qualifying heats, all setting the grid for the 25km final.

It’s a big weekend ahead for the young Manawatu karter!
