If you haven't read, heard or seen the incredible 19 year old countertenor Samuel Mataele in the news this week you must have been sitting under a rock!

It has once again been a huge honour to do the PR for the SongQuest for the second time and the past year has been particulary special given it is the first time the prestigious opera competiton has been principally sponsored by the Kiri Te Kanawa Foundation - in a milestone year marking the competition's 70th anniversary.

I must say Sam has been a dream to deal with over the past week - receptive to all media interviews (and trust me, there have been several!), and with such a humble and giving nature he truly is a inspiration for opera and art in general.

Arriba has recorded 50 pieces of media coverage so far and counting, it's truly wonderful to see how the media have embraced this positive story and so deserving to give the art, the artists and the foundation the profile it deserves.
