Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has taken decisive action in the Muscat Governorate by seizing hundreds of children's confectionery products deemed harmful to health and safety. Judicial officers confiscated 55 boxes of cigarette-imitation candies and 387 boxes of syringe-shaped sweets from local commercial establishments. These products were withdrawn from the market as they violated established safety standards and were considered inappropriate for children. The Consumer Protection Authority continues to monitor markets across the Sultanate to ensure all products sold meet strict health regulations, with legal proceedings now underway against the violating retailers.
