Celebrating an Incredible Week at the World Indigenous Business Forum, Melbourne.
A massive and Heartfelt Thankyou to the World Indigenous Business Forum for an unforgettable experience last week.
It was an incredible honor and privilege for Te'hine Trend to be selected to participate in the Artisan village at the World Indigenous Business Forum 2025, Hyatt Place Essendon Fields, Victoria, Melbourne on October 28th-30th, a unique opportunity providing a diverse selection of Indigenous products that were showcased and purchased by delegates and guests attending the event. The Sponsorship was truly impactful, providing my business with;
- Two complimentary WIBF registrations, granting full access to the 3-day business Forum
-A dedicated booth space and table for product display
-The exciting opportunity to participate in a Fashion show
A special shout-out of gratitude to Logistics and Artisan Coordinator Ms. Courtney and the entire wonderful WIBF team for their support including our stay at the Hyatt Place Hotel, Essendon Fields. Your support made this trip possible.
We felt so much support from everyone who visited our booth and we were proud to showcase a selection of these beautiful items:
-Stunning jewelry from the indigenous artisans we proudly collaborate with
-Authentic hand-woven pandanus and cane baskets from Tsoi Island, New Ireland Province
-Our very own Contemporary Crochet earrings incorporating mies shells, which also completely sold out
It was also a fantastic honor to connect with other delegates, artisans and entrepreneurs from around the world including our powerful PNG women in business; beautiful pawameri and PNG Designer Annette Sete of Lavagirl, Anne Shirley of Queen Pads, PNG Designer Bilum meri Florence Jaukae, and Evelyn of Apo Meri who also attended this event. We also extend our sincere thanks to all the sponsors.
To everyone who stopped by, purchased a piece, took the time to place a pre-order, gave us gifts or networked with us-thankyou for believing in our work. Unfortunately I was not able to take pictures of most of the lovely people who came by.
And to all the small business owners, crafters, artisans, designers, Believe in your small business, your work is important.
Thankyou God for the trip 🙏
THANKYOU VICTORIA, MELBOURNE!
