1. Discouragement from other people: Many people have had their dreams knocked out. The world is filled with dreams, crushers, and idea killers. Some people who aren't pursuing any dream don't like to see others pursuing theirs. Other people's success makes them feel inadequate or insecure.

2. Some people are hindered by past disappointments and hurts: Disappointment is the gap between expectation and reality. All of us have encountered that gap. We've had an unexpectedly bad experience. We've had to live with our unfulfilled desires, and we've had our hope dashed. Disappointment can be highly damaging to us.

3. Some people get in the habit of settling for the habit of average: Columnist Maureen Dowd says, "The minutes you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you settled for." Dreams require a person to stretch, to go beyond average. You can't reach for a dream and remain safely mediocre at the same time. The two are incompatible.

4. Some people lack the confidence needed to pursue their dreams: It takes confidence to talk about your dream and more to pursue it. And sometimes, confidence separates those who dream and pursue those dreams from those who don't.

5. Some people lack the imagination to dream: How do people discover their dream? By dreaming! That may sound overly simplistic, but that's where it starts. Imagination is the soil that brings a dream to life. Nobel prize-winning physicist Albert Einstein, a dreamer and thinker, understands the value of the imagination. He said, "When I examine myself and my method of thought, I conclude that the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than my talent for absorbing positive knowledge." Einstein called his imagination a "holy curiosity"

This Story is so touching ‼️‼️‼️

NOT ALL PEOPLE WHO IS WEARING A NICE CLOTHES IS RICH!!

I met an old class mate, we had not seen each other for about 30 years‼️‼️

When I saw him again, this time at a hotel lobby, he was looking simple. He wore simple clothes. I felt touched‼️‼️

He walked up to me and was glad to see me again. But deep within me I was not impressed with his status compared to mine and poor me, I couldn't hide it.

We exchanged contact details and I could see the joy in him as he collected mine.

I told him I would drop him home in my brand new Range Rover and I pointed it to him. He declined and said he had already called for his car. It looked old, a 2001 Honda Accord.

I invited him the next day for lunch at my house. A part of me wanted to impress him, to show off my success and affluence to him; while another was to discuss opportunities and possibly help him‼️

He drove to Parkview where I lived. He looked impressed with my home. I had taken a heavy mortgage. In fact, I was heavily in debt. We had lunch. He told me he was into small business and particularly real Estate. I brought up more business discussions, but he didn't sound too interested. I asked him how I could help him. He said he was fine. I even told him if he was interested, I could help him secure some loans. He looked at me and smiled.
He told me he would invite me over soon to his place. His old car came for him. I was grateful to God for what I had.“Fingers are not all equal" I thought to myself. I was lucky. I worked in a good place.
Two weeks later, my wife and I went to see him in a remote area. Initially, my wife was reluctant to go because she was not impressed with the man's status as to warrant our visiting him in his house‼️
I was able to convince her that we were close friends in College.
We saw the Estate. We asked for directions to his home. Those leading us spoke his name with deference.
It was a simple but lovely home. A 4-bedroom bungalow. I saw 4 cars parked in front. We entered his home. It was simply elegant with a touch of class inside. He welcomed us warmly.
Lunch was well served.
His wife called him Papa Onos.
During lunch, he asked about my MD. He said they were friends. I saw a company gift on one of his tables nearby. That company owned about 38% shares where I worked. I enquired from him about it. He smiled. He told me he owned the company. He also owned the Estate.
I did not know when I called him sir. I was in awe of him too.
I had learnt a lesson in humility, A big one. Appearances are deceptive. He noticed my discomfort.
Driving back home, I was very quiet. My wife was humbled and extremely calm. I could perceive the thoughts in her mind. I looked at myself. Living on loans, heavy loans and showing off while someone who pays my salary is quite modest and living a simple life.
Indeed Deeper Rivers Flow In Majestic Silence.
Adjust your perception towards others this year.

Read, learn and take a good step of change.
Stop rating people based on their physical appearance or level of education.
Concentrate more on how to better your life, than on how to impress people.
Have a lovely day ahead.

TO BE A LEADER TOMORROW, YOU MUST LEARN TO HOW PRACTICE YOUR EXPECTATIONS NOW.....!!!

-God works by what He speaks.
-God walks in the path that His word has created.
-God speaks to a generation through elders, sometimes even through their own age mates and whenever that seems not to make sense, He eventually uses His uncommon means called "circumstances".
-Going beyond or against what God has spoken to you through His word or even through the HolySpirit, automatically forces Him to have no option but to slap you back to your senses through a painful wilderness experience .
-You determines what the future will call you by the path that you embrace based on the choice of your decisions .
-You can choose to be what people are referred to as a Role model and yardstick of success or rather choose to be what people are warned against.
-A wise man will always hearken to the teaching of the Law of the Lord, in that whenever you are warned that the people who chose and followed a given path never came back and you foolishly choose to take the very route so that you can see for yourself what happened to them, then your end story will automatically be obvious in that you will see what happened to those who went before you but unfortunately you won't come back to tell the story.
-Never allow people to learn from your mistakes but only from your success(be a yardstick of the good and never a yardstick of failure and bad example if you so desireth to succeed and be a reference point to your generation and a source of strength to the next generation) .
-If you succeed and make a meaningful impact in your generation it's upto you but still if you choose to fail and be an embarrassment then it's upto you because we all have equal opportunities to become an influence and become a Role model of success .
-Never talk about or criticize anybody else mistake because talking about it is simply signing up for that very exam,remember that the devil that you entertain, you invite .

Psalms 119:103-105 -How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through Your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

-It pains a Father to see sons make the very mistakes that he made earlier,because it's only a fool that refuses to learn from the mistakes of his or her senior, friends it's so backward, shameful, painful, uncalled for and absurd to repeat the very mistake of your seniors and still fall a prey of the very demon that frustrated and embarrassed your own Father .
-To be a leader tomorrow you must learn to practice your expectations now.
-The system of God is that He will first allow you to serve another man before making you the boss of your own.
-God always tests your competence to manage your own by measuring your faithfulness in what belongs to another.
-Anybody who is not tamed will always become wild that's why mentorship and prunning cannot be a debatable issue to any serious person who wants to live an influencial and impactful life,you must understand and know by now that it's only animals and plants that grow up naturally otherwise man has to be made to become meaningful .
-If you don't have a mentor and if you aren't serving anybody then you won't grow up nor mount to anything better or admirable in this life.
-Anything that you do in the house of God always secures a platform for you.
-God cannot grace or annoint you for something that you don't have a burden for.
