Before I give you a background story of how I started this freelancing journey, let me tell you about who I was when I was just a little.
π
I used to be this shy type, go-with-the-flow kiddo who loves to hang-out with my two boy cousins in our neighborhood. I like to teach them anything under the sun like climbing a tree, hiding toys and coins in the ground, playing fake money using leaves, and a whole lot more. I missed those days where you don't have to worry about anything. And all you think about is what to play and where to go.
π
It's different now when adulthood strikes, there's this responsibilty that comes with it. Time is so precious now when you realize that you don't have control of the remaining days of your life on earth.
There's also this pressure to do more in life and yet when expectations are not met then fears come in and overwhelmed you. However, I'm so blessed to have a family that supported me all the way and never pressured me to do what I'm not favored about. I've become a self-sufficient, independent person and very laid back and contented at the same time.
π
Just this year, I stumbled upon a freelancing coach on facebook and the moment I realized the possibilities of it, I jumped in. Since I'm into arts I choose graphic designing, I learned Adobe Illustrator in months and Canva as well because it's so handy.
I'll be honest with you that I'm just a beginner but I'm willing to learn eveything to be an expert on this field. I've also decided to extend my service as a Social Media Manager at the same time to serve a broader group of overwhelmed business owners who doesn't have time to manage their social media accounts.
π
To be honest, it took me months to get out of my comfort zone and to have the courage to continue this new journey. I guess this pandemic is a blessing in disguise which gives me ample time to think. Now, I'm now confident that I can pull this off by the grace of God and by those who believed in me and my capacity.
May God bless my freelancing journey! And to you who read from the start to the end of this post, I want you to know that the best is yet to come so have courage and dream bigπ
