Long-overdue upload x Fail Gender Reveal Shoot x Short Story Time

Sometimes, even after 15 years behind the camera, you’re reminded that not everything is meant to go perfectly.

This gender reveal last November 16 was, honestly, one of those days. The light was beautiful, we had the perfect golden hour, the weather was kind, and even a rainbow showed up as if the day itself was giving us a little blessing.

Then something happened. ugh! the files from my main camera got corrupted. Almost everything I had carefully captured was gone. What remained were test shots, a few blurred frames, and imperfect photographs. 😭

As a photographer syempre it felt heartbreaking, you spend so much time trying to preserve moments that can never happen again.

But looking back, maybe the photographs were never the most important part of that day.

Because the day was still beautiful. The love was still there. The family was still together. And most importantly, we were blessed with the sweetest reveal....a healthy baby boy CJ! 💙

Sometimes, we lose the perfect pictures but keep the perfect memory.

And perhaps that’s the reminder I needed after 15 years of photography: the moments we capture matter, but the moments we live matter even more.

Congratulations to this beautiful family. (our extended family) What a blessing it was to witness this chapter.
