It is God's will for believers—you and me—to be sanctified.
⁣
For God has not called us to impurity, but to holiness.
⁣
According to 1 Thessalonians 4, we are commanded to:
— Abstain from sexual immorality
— Exercise brotherly love
— Live quietly and work with our own hands
— Walk properly before outsiders
⁣
Whatever situation you are in right now,
pause and ask:

How is God sanctifying me in this?
How is He purifying me and growing me in holiness through it?
⁣
The world teaches that the chief goal of life is happiness.
But for the disciple of Jesus, holiness and happiness are not enemies.
⁣
The more we grow in holiness,
the more deeply we grow in joy.
⁣
The more we behold Christ,
the more we become like Him—
and in Him is fullness of joy.

"Be holy, for I am holy." – 1 Peter 1:16
⁣
Let’s begin seeing every season—every trial, every ordinary day—
as a sacred opportunity to grow in holiness,
a divine training ground in righteousness.

I've cried more as a disciple of Jesus than I ever did before knowing Him.

The troubles didn’t stop when I surrendered my life to Christ—if anything, they intensified. Jesus never promised a storm-free life, but He did promise His presence through it.

As His followers, we will be opposed and attacked—not just by the world, but by the enemy of our souls.

But take heart in Jesus’ words:
“I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
—John 16:33 (ESV)

There are times the pain is deep...
Too deep for words.
Too overwhelming to process.
Too heavy to carry.
Pain that we don't even think we can survive through...

Yet even there—we can have peace.
We can rest in the truth that He is with us.
We can trust in His goodness even when life feels anything but.
We can cling to the hope that our Savior has overcome.

So mama, disciple, sister—keep going. Your tears are not in vain. Your faith is not wasted.

Take heart. He has overcome.

“Lord, even when it’s painful…”

Refining hurts.
Pruning cuts deep.
Sanctification strips us bare.

But it is through this sacred discomfort that God molds us—burning away the dross, shaping our hearts, making us more like Christ.

Sanctification is not soft. It exposes what’s hidden. It breaks what needs breaking. It heals what we didn’t know was wounded.

Yet, for the one who truly longs to follow Jesus, the painful process becomes a holy offering:
“Not my will, but Yours be done.” (Luke 22:42)

We don’t always understand it.
We often don’t enjoy it.
But we choose to trust the Potter’s hands.

Because He is faithful even in the fire.

Holiness is Christ in me. 🙏

As we abide in Him and worship His name,
He faithfully continues His work within us—
sanctifying our hearts, minds, and character,
shaping us to reflect His image,
refining our lives for His glory.

We cannot truly say we are in Christ
if we resist His sanctifying work.
And we cannot claim to love Him
if we do not love His holiness.

If you've committed to obeying God's will in your life,

no matter how much doing so may be difficult or painful,

Where are you setting your mind on?
Are you living according to the Spirit?

We can easily get distracted and entangled with worldliness if we're not careful.

And therefore be led, by fleshly knowledge,
(fleshly) confidence, doing things in (fleshly) strength, and consumed with (fleshly) affairs.

Dear disciples of Jesus, we need to stay sober and have to make a conscious decision moment by moment to live according to the Spirit and be led by Him.

As we are led by Him, we then become consumed with the things of the Spirit, what please and glorify God.

We live in light of eternity and spend our limited time, energy, and resources for the things that truly matter in the heart of God.

And we do so, not out of our own knowledge and strength, but by abiding in God's heavenly wisdom, drawing from His strength and power. 🕊️🔥
