August is slipping away. So many things have happened, and most have changed. I can’t believe how one month could hold so many feelings.

Sometimes I still wake to the shadows of January and February, carry the fragile hope of March, the quiet passing of April and May, the weight of June, and the unfinished healing of July.

Then came August, loud and quiet all at once, heavy but fleeting. A month of contradictions, of both endings and beginnings. And now that it’s leaving, I find comfort in the hope of it all.

when i saw the photos, i immediately noticed the setting looks so similar to one of the lover outtake photos. the flowers, the garden vibe, even the way it’s styled feels almost identical. i’m pretty sure travis and his team really did it on purpose, knowing taylor loves easter eggs when teasing songs or albums. ‘i once believed love would be burnin’ red, but it’s golden, like daylight.’ congrats mom!
