Before this year ends, βWhat are the things youβre grateful for?β ππ½ π |

Been staring at this blank canvas for too long now. Iβm trying to make a Christmas Posting butβ¦ itβs hard. Iβve been on a slump lately and Iβm trying to get back on track this past week.
For a week, I didnβt design anything nor opened my laptop. I was on the verge of quitting. Because I think Iβm still on the same place and situation I was last year. I canβt see myself making any progress at all.
How about you, have you ever felt this way? Or have you ever compared yourself to others?
As creatives, we look upon othersβ progress on their careers thinking that we will be inspired, but sometimes we end up feeling envious. As a result, we look down on ourselves thinking that we arenβt enough. Indeed, comparison is a thief of joy. But I discovered the answer to end whatβs robbing our joy as creatives β Gratefulness. β¨
I was too focused on the things I didnβt have or donβt yet have that I forgot to be grateful of the things I already have. We focus too much on othersβ progress to the point that we miss what God and life has been teaching us. Thereβs a lot of things to be grateful for, we just have to look around us. πͺπ½
Iβm grateful for having:
π Family that supports me
π Friends that believes in me
π The skillset that God has given me
Thereβs a lot more things, but if this post would be too long if I include them all.
The bottom line is, there may be a lot of things that you donβt currently have, but thereβs also a lot of things you currently have that is worth being grateful for. β¨
As this year ends, try to look back and practice gratefulness by giving thanks of those things. π
Ikaw, what are the things youβre grateful for? You can comment it down below! ππ
Have a gentle Christmas, creatives. π
