This event will be held on 𝟮𝟵 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 – 𝟬𝟭 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹, 𝗗𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 and marks the 20th Annual Convention of MSP Regions 10, 12, and BARMM, the 2nd Annual Convention of MSP–Negros Island Region (NIR), and the 2nd International Conference on Mathematics, Statistics, and Mathematics Education (ICMSME 2026). It aims to bring together mathematicians, statisticians, computer scientists, mathematics educators, researchers, students, and professionals from mathematics, statistics, computing, education, and related fields.

We warmly invite researchers, educators, students, and professionals in pure and applied mathematics, mathematics education, statistics, computing, artificial intelligence, and related disciplines to submit short papers for oral and poster presentations!

JOINT POSITION PAPER ON THE PROPOSED GENERAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM (GEC)

The Philippine Council of Mathematics Teacher Educators (MATHTED) Inc., the Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines – Tertiary Level (MTAP-TL), and the Mathematical Society of the Philippines (MSP) strongly urge CHED to retain a dedicated mathematics course in the proposed General Education Curriculum.
