POV: 6 months postpartum and your OB finally gave you the green light to play sports again. 🥹🏓

Six months ago, I gave birth. For months, my focus was on healing, breastfeeding, sleepless nights, and caring for our little girl. Today felt like a small milestone—I finally got to play a sport again.

I chose pickleball because it’s fun, beginner-friendly, and a great way to ease back into being active after getting my OB’s clearance.

But what made this day even more special wasn’t the game itself.

It was seeing my husband happily taking care of our 6-month-old daughter while I played. ❤️

Motherhood changes so much, and sometimes we forget that taking care of ourselves matters too. Having a partner who supports you, cheers you on, and gladly says, “I’ll take care of the baby—you go have fun,” is something I’ll always be grateful for.

Here’s to healing, supportive spouses, and finding little pieces of yourself again after becoming a mom. 🤍

One thing I’ve learned as a breastfeeding mom is that I can’t pour from an empty cup. 🤍

Habang pinapakain natin si baby, kailangan din nating alagaan ang sarili natin. Kaya whenever I can, I try to prepare meals with lots of vegetables.

Today’s ulam is an authentic Ilocano dinengdeng—made with kalabasa, talbos ng kalabasa, malunggay, uong, kamatis, bagoong isda, and paired with crispy fried fish. 🥬🐟🍲

Simple lang, budget-friendly, at sobrang comforting. Perfect with hot rice! 🍚
