Weather Update for Cagayan de Oro and Northern Mindanao
📅 As of 5:00 AM, November 8, 2025

Typhoon Uwan (Fung-Wong) continues to intensify as it moves west-northwest over the Philippine Sea, but Northern Mindanao - including Cagayan de Oro City - remains outside its direct path.
While there are no Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals raised in our area, the typhoon’s broad circulation may still bring:

☁️ Occasional light to moderate rain showers and gusty winds, especially along coastal and upland areas
🌊 Moderate to rough seas (up to 2.5 meters) over the Bohol Sea and northern coastlines — small boats and fisherfolk are advised not to sail
🌧️ Possible localized flooding or landslides in flood-prone or mountain barangays if rains persist
The cool and breezy weather you’re feeling is due to the combined effect of Typhoon Uwan and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan).

Stay alert and updated through PAGASA and CDRRMD Cagayan de Oro for localized advisories. Even if CDO is not under a storm signal, it’s still best to stay cautious and weather-aware in the coming days.
