If a client asks you to submit a video introduction, don’t overthink it. You don’t need to memorize a long script. Use this structure as your guide and make it sound natural.
1. YOUR NAME + TARGET ROLE
Introduce yourself and mention the role you’re applying for.
Sample:
“Hi! My name is Juan Dela Cruz, and I’m applying for the Virtual Assistant position. I’m excited about the opportunity to support your team and help with your day-to-day tasks.”
2. FUN FACT
Share one simple and appropriate fact about yourself that shows a little personality.
Sample:
“A fun fact about me is that I really enjoy organizing things. I like keeping my files, tasks, and schedules organized and finding ways to make things more efficient.”
3. PAST
Talk about previous work, school projects, volunteer activities, freelance work, or other transferable experience.
Sample:
“Although I’m new to working as a professional Virtual Assistant, I’ve gained experience through school projects and volunteer activities where I handled data entry, organized files, communicated with team members, and created presentations and social media materials using tools like Google Workspace and Canva.”
4. PRESENT
Talk about the skills and tools you're currently developing and how they relate to the position.
Sample:
“Currently, I’m continuously developing my skills in administrative support, customer service, research, and digital tools. I’m comfortable using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Canva, ChatGPT, Zoom, and other productivity tools. I’m also always willing to learn new tools and processes.”
5. FUTURE
Explain what you hope to contribute to the client or company.
Sample:
“My goal is to become a reliable long-term support for my client. I want to help make daily operations more organized and efficient while continuing to grow my skills and take on more responsibilities as I become familiar with the business.”
6. ENDING LINE
“Thank you for taking the time to watch my introduction. I’d love the opportunity to learn more about your business and how I can support your team. I look forward to hearing from you!”
