THINGS I WISH I KNEW WHEN I STARTED MY SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER JOURNEY 🤍✨

1. Clients don’t just want pretty posts ,they want results.
I focused too much on aesthetics instead of strategy. Pretty feeds don’t pay bills. Strategy does.

2. You won’t feel creative every day ,and that’s normal.
Creativity comes in waves. Systems keep you consistent.

3. Most clients don’t know what they want until you show them.
Don’t wait for ideas from clients , bring them.

4. Revisions aren’t personal.
They mean alignment, not failure.

5. You’ll spend more time communicating than creating.
Emails, approvals, clarifications , it’s all part of the job.

6. Not every client is a good fit.
If someone drains your energy, walk away.

7. Charging cheap makes everything harder.
Low-paying clients usually expect the most.

8. Engagement isn’t everything.
Track the real metrics: clicks, saves, shares, leads, sales.

9. Batch-working is a lifesaver.
It protects your time and your sanity.

10. You don’t need to be on every platform.
Focus beats burnout.

11. The first months will feel messy.
That’s part of the journey ,you improve through action.

12. Boundaries matter.
Set expectations early: response time, revisions, scope.
