It started with a name. My grandfather's surname was Aguila — eagle. He built something with his hands over decades. When he passed, it went with him.

I started The Aerie because I don't want that to happen to the businesses I believe in. The ones in Davao that have been here for years — quietly building something real, something worth protecting.

An aerie is where the eagle builds its nest. High. Carefully. Built to last beyond the season.

It's the nest of an eagle. Built at the greatest height.

Constructed with extraordinary care. Returned to, generation after generation.

We named The Aerie after this — and after someone whose name meant eagle, who built something that deserved to last.
