Generating Cleaning Bid Appointments During the Tariff War

Commercial cleaning companies are feeling the effects of the ongoing tariff war. Rising costs and economic uncertainty are causing businesses to tighten their budgets, making them hesitant to explore new cleaning bids or switch vendors. Our recent campaign data reflects this: while we're successfully navigating complex AI-powered spam filters and email detection systems (check out the stats below!), we've noticed that a significant majority of responses indicate a “not right now” attitude. This is likely due to the economic pressures stemming from tariffs, particularly affecting businesses in the supply and distribution chains for goods.

As a solution, commercial cleaning companies can focus their marketing efforts on industries that are less sensitive to these economic fluctuations, such as healthcare facilities (due to strict hygiene regulations), government organizations (with stable budgets), essential services (given the critical nature of their operations), and data centers and technology companies (which are less sensitive to economic downturns and would likely require regular cleaning to maintain their sensitive equipment).

Tips for Outbound Marketing Campaigns:

1. Identify the Right Contacts: Understand that each company may have different individuals managing their cleaning vendors or janitors. Focus on finding the appropriate contact person first.

2. Participate in Upcoming Bids: Once you've identified the right contact, inquire about any upcoming janitorial/commercial cleaning bids you can participate in. Seize short-term opportunities in your service area.

3. Follow-up on Contract Expiry: Recognize that many companies may already be under contract with other cleaning providers. Inquire about the contract expiry date, and mark it in your CRM. Nurture your relationship by providing value-driven materials and content (utilizing marketing psychology) without focusing on direct sales. Schedule the bid appointment when the timing is appropriate. This long-term strategy ensures consistent opportunities for cleaning bids.

SalezGen.com is a Filipino-owned marketing agency in the outbound B2B lead generation space and we're looking for 2 highly skilled appointment setters to join our team. You will start part-time during training turning full-time.

Basic Requirements:

- Desktop/Laptop (Minimum i3 or equivalent specs)
- DSL internet connection at least 5Mbps
- Must have own working station at home free from background noises
- Headset w/ mic and noise cancellation feature
- Minimum 1 year appointment setting or telemarketing experience handling international accounts
- Background in B2B lead generation is a huge plus
- Background in online work is preferable but not required
- Background in direct emails and LinkedIn marketing are desirable skills but not required
- Fluency in English (verbal and written)

Basic Requirements
Must have at least 1 year solid work experience in B2B prospecting or generating lists of qualified cold prospects for any outbound marketing campaigns
Background in several prospecting techniques (automation, manual, and semi-automation) is highly preferred but not required
Can follow exact instructions, attention to detail, and excellent working ethics
Desktop/Laptop (Minimum i3 or equivalent specs)
DSL internet connection of at least 20 Mbps and a backup
Must have own working station at home free from any background noises
Familiarity with Google applications, prospecting tools/AI, project management platform, and online CRMs
Average to good communication skills in English (verbal & written)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand client lead requirements, generate lists of target prospects for cold email marketing campaigns, perform profile analysis, validate emails, data cleaning, list-building, and database management.
Hit KPIs and send daily reports to Project Manager
Attend team & client meetings, collaborations, optimizations, and innovation calls.
