The Bing Austria Tribute Night was a success. ❤️

On behalf of everyone who came together for the love of Bing Austria, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are overwhelmed by the love, support, and generosity shown by our music community, friends, and family.

Bashia Grafilo, Angel Gomez Austria, and the entire Austria family are deeply grateful for all the love, kindness, prayers, support, and generosity you have shown during this difficult time. Your presence, donations, messages, and shared memories have brought comfort and strength when they needed it most.

Together, we raised over ₱80,000 plus, a huge help for Bing’s hospital and related expenses. This would not have been possible without all of you.

Special thanks to Emlee Nicart for helping coordinate with the venue and for hosting the tribute night, to Calbs Hotness for the videos, Crisha Binuya for the tribute video, and Esow Bee for the photos (to be posted soon).

Thank you to the entire 70’s Bistro family—Sir July Marcelino, Budeths Casinto, Jo Tay, and the technical team—for opening your home to us and supporting this tribute.

Last night was proof of how much Bing was loved. Through music, friendship, laughter, and memories, he brought so many people together. His legacy lives on in all of us, and the love shown during this tribute night will never be forgotten.

‘THE BING AUSTRIA TRIBUTE SHOW’ | A fundraiser celebrating the Filipino soul icon

The rare musical gathering will feature prominent artists in their respective genres: High Targets led by Tuesday Vargas; Jeck Pilpil, a known figure in the reggae scene; singer-songwriter Nico Ernest; roots and reggae band Goodleaf; Stiff Lu, the legendary Rizal Underground vocalist behind the iconic 90s song, “Sabado Nights”; Tropical Depression; Banda ni Meisha; Red Dela Peña; Reggae Mistress; Sleepyheads; and Hoochie Coochie Mikkie.

The evening promises to relive the happy place that Austria always brought onstage and the consoling spirit of brotherhood and community through the years.

Door charge is P200, but guests are encouraged to donate to the cause. 70s Bistro is located along Anonas Street in Quezon City.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Sir Bing Austria one of the pillars of ska and reggae music in the Philippines.

His passion, talent, and contribution to the local music scene have left a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire generations of musicians and music lovers alike.

Our heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, bandmates, and all those whose lives he touched through his music.

May he rest in peace, and may his music live on forever.

Part 2 of the Put3ska Listening Party was a success!

Thank you to everyone who came through and shared the love last night with music, laughter, and brotherhood celebrating the Put3ska vinyl album. After 30 years, you can finally own a copy of this legendary release.

Special regards to Tey, brother of Weslu of Put3ska, Par Satellite, Jimmy Jam on the decks, and Paolo Luis for being part of the night.
