"Dalawa lang po kaming magkapatid. Grade 4 po ako, sya Grade 1. Tumbang preso po paborito naming laruin, pero mahilig din po ako mag-computer. Binubuksan ko po ‘yung account ko na panglaro ng Roblox. Parang lego po ‘yon. Pwede pong lumakad tska sumayaw. Pwede rin pong gumawa ng bahay.

Pero mas nasasayahan po ako sa tumbang preso kesa sa Roblox, kasi ‘yon po ‘yung lagi naming nilalaro ng kapatid ko. At tska, nakakalabo po kasi ng mata ‘yung computer, ‘yung tumbang preso hindi.

Di po kami nag-aaway ng kapatid ko. Kapag may nang-away po sa kanya, tutulungan ko sya. Sasabihin ko: ‘Wag kayong makulit dyan. Pag sinuntok ko kayo iiyak iyak kayo dyan."

“Malalambing ‘yan. Pero itong brown, may tendency ‘yan na mangagat. Pero ‘yung kagat na hindi para saktan, parang biro lang. Lambing lang niya. Kung minsan maipit mo siya, nangangagat pero hindi bumabaon ‘yung kagat nya. Itong gray, pirming nakadikit ‘yan, hindi lumalayo. ‘Yung brown, tumatakbo takbo. Itong gray, ‘di lumalayo eh. Sinusubukan ko na magsama ng ganito sa paglalakad. Normally, ang sinasama ko ay dog. Kasi kasama rin sa exercise ‘yan. Walk lang din. Tsaka malambing din, eh. Tingnan mo, pabalik-balik lang sayo. Sarap sa pakiramdam, nakakawala rin ng pagod. Nakikita mo paupo-upo lang sa tabi mo. Kung wild ‘yan, ‘di naman mapapa-upo ‘yan d’yan. Dati, nilalakad ko sila sa amin. Hindi playground ‘yon, parang bundok. Pakakawalan ko, paikot-ikot then babalik. Hindi sila lumalayo, hindi kagaya ng ibang hayop. Sanay na rin sila. "Natutunan ko na una sa lahat, dapat maging open-minded ka sa lahat ng bagay. Kasi doon mo matututunan lahat, kahit hindi ka matalino. Dapat hindi mo jina-judge ‘yung ibang tao. Dapat understanding ka sa feelings nila. Dapat ‘di mo rin kino-compare ‘yung buhay mo sa iba. Totoo ‘yun. Ako nga, sinasabi ko sa mga kaibigan ko na kahit once in their life, i-aspire nila na pumunta sa ibang bansa. Masyado na kasing sanay ‘yung mga tao sa kung ano ‘yung current na kinalalagyan nila. Once nag-explore sila ng ibang bagay at napunta sila sa sitwasyon na wala silang choice kundi mag-adjust para sa ibang tao, doon lang nila matututunan kung paano rumespeto. I guess doon mo rin marerealize kung bakit dapat pinapahalagahan ‘yung mundo, lahat ng tao sa mundo. “Buti lumapit kayo. May kausap ako. ‘Di ba nakita ninyo, wala naman akong kausap dito. Hinihintay ko ‘yung asawa ko, nagtatrabaho sa Kalaw, construction. Eh ngayon, Sabado, sahod nya. Bukas, Linggo, wala siyang pasok. Dito kami maghapon. Nagsasawa na nga ako eh. Sabagay, okay lang. Kesa naman nasa bahay kami. Nakakatulog naman ako dito maghapon kapag wala siya. Ngayon kapag 12:00, kapag breaktime nya, nagdadala sya ng pagkain dito... Hindi maganda ma-stuck sa bahay. Una, mag-isa ka, nakapag-iisip ka ng kung anu-ano, ng mga nakaraan mo, ng mga nakaraan ng mga anak mo. Kaya gusto ko laging wala sa bahay, laging nasa labas. Kaya sabi [ng asawa ko], ‘sa Lunes bahala ka, kung gusto mo magtrabaho, magtrabaho ka. Ngayon, kung magbago isip mo, dito ka na lang [sa Luneta]. Tutal kumakain naman tayo dito.’ Ang akin lang, ‘di naman ako baldado. Kahit na may edad na, ina-ano ko yung katawan ko. Baka maka-apply rin ako sa Monday, sa iba. Kaya lang karamihan sa Intramuros, 150 na lang ang pasahod nila... Eh, minsan, iniisip ng asawa ko, baka raw ‘di ko na makaya. Syempre, itong edad ko na ‘to. We, the admins of this page, are inviting you to join our book club which we call The Book Club. So much for being creative and original. 😶

So, yeah. We're socially awkward IRL, but hey, you know books are life. 😉

Here's the plan:
Members will read the same book at once and meet up once a month. We'll discuss the book over... Beer? Vodka? Wine? Coffee? Board games? Food? Whatever. We want US to have FUN.

The goals are to 1) encourage each other to read more--not to become pretentious critics, don't worry--, 2) explore various genres, and 3) well, have FUN.

“Ang cosplay ay isang hobby na nakakapagpasaya sa’kin. For me, nakakaalis siya ng stress. Minsan nakaka-istress ‘yung pag-aayos ng costume, pero once nandya’n na, na-e-enjoy ko na... Marami akong naririnig na ang cosplay, pang-pera pera agad. Hindi. Mag-uumpisa ka lang talaga na hobby mo ‘to hanggang sa magawa mo na kung ano talaga ang gusto mo. ‘Yung iba ginagawa ito for money and fame, kami hindi. Talagang out of love and passion lang.”

"Gusto kong sumali sa WJF, kaso halimaw ang mga jugglers doon kumpara sa akin. Goal ko is maghanap ng something unique, na wala pang gumagawa. Ganon tayo sisikat sa art, dapat iba ka.... Ito na ang comfort zone ko. Minsan kapag may lumalapit, ginaganahan akong turuan. Titingnan ko kung gusto talagang matuto. Kapag nakita ko na medyo 'di gusto, tinitigilan ko na."

"Parang hindi n’ya kasi pinapakinggan. Meron pala kaming pinagtalunan noon kaso tinanggap ko na lang. Teaching na talaga. Inisip ko na lang na: “Sige, sundin mo ‘yung magulang mo.” Christian din kasi ko so parang kapag sinaway mo ‘yung magulang mo, iba yo’n e. Kaya siguro, si God na lang din para ma-take ko ’to. Kasi bawal umiba sa landas. Inaccept ko na lang sa sarili ko, ay teaching na talaga ko.”
