Annnnd we're back with another business spotlight! We now have Maribel's General Merchandise, which sells Aice ice cream.

We need something to satisfy our thirst and replenish us during this hot and dry season. Aside from water, ice cream is a delicious treat to have throughout the heat. Imagine the pleasure it will offer you once it touches your tongue.

According to grahamsfamilydairy.com, ice cream contains protein and fat, both of which our bodies need to help level our moods. On top of that, the amino acids you take in when eating ice cream, such as tryptophan, are known to increase serotonin production. That leaves us feeling calm, satisfied, and well, happy!

Eating ice cream instantly transports us back to wonderful childhood experiences. When we eat ice cream, our brain remembers those positive feelings and we learn to associate the treat with happiness. Of course, one cannot rely on ice cream alone for a happy, fulfilling life, but it certainly doesn’t hurt to include is as part of a well-balanced, individual pursuit of happiness when eaten responsibly.

What a lovely weekend we have here, and it will be much more lovely when we finally reveal this week's company highlight.

For this week's focus, we have another Mario's speciality, the Pancit Miki Bihon.

Miki Bihon is a Filipino stir-fried noodle dish that combines fresh egg noodles (Miki) and rice noodles (bihon). Like most pancit guisado recipes, it’s packed with an assortment of meats and veggies for a delicious and filling dish that you can enjoy any time of the day! ( info from kawalingpinoy.com ).

Today, we'll focus the spotlight on Noel's Siomai. You may have a taste of a wonderful three-piece siomai for only ten pesos!

Siomai is an awesome merieda to have with a drink. Surely, even in this scorching season, you'll have a good time since the joy that a siomai can provide you is indescribable. Furthermore, you may add siomai to whatever cuisine you like, such as rice. Whatever works for you, as long as you're happy, it's all okay!

Noel's Siomai can be found at San Agustin Dos, near the San Agustin 2 chapel, if you wish to come and buy.

Tip: For a little kick, I recommend sprinkling hot sauce on the siomai. If you enjoy spicy foods, give it a try.

Another week, another business we are going to put a shine on!

Today, it's Lowelyn's Lutong Ulam featuring one on the menu which is Laing. It's no secret that not everyone can cook, but, everyone has to eat. It's what keeps us, people, functioning.

One of the biggest reasons why one couldn't cook is because one refuses to learn how to cook or sadly, one has tried but discovered that cooking is not a good fit for them. Some people know how to cook, but due to extreme exhaustion, they don't always have the time or energy to do so (ex: people arriving home from work).

Lowelyn's Lutong Ulam has now proven to be a lifesaver for the people mentioned above! Why? Because it provides a variety of viands or ulam, and guess what? It's also reasonably priced. Oh, and did we forget to mention that it's also insanely delicious?

If you want to come and buy, you can find Lowelyn's Lutong Ulam in San Agustin Dos, near the Iglesia Ni Cristo church.

It's time for another business spotlight! This week we'll be featuring Noel's Mami located near San Agustin 2 Chapel. You'll be able to have one chicken mami with an egg for a very reasonable price! Isn't it a fantastic catch? Furthermore, since it has been raining and the environment is cold, a mami that will warm up your tummy is such a satisfying feeling. Don't you want to feel good?

A word of advice: if you're going to buy mami, buy two or more! Because nothing beats sharing and enjoying meals with the people you care about! If you don't want to share, there's no need to feel bad about it; simply keep all the love for yourself. You most certainly deserve it.
