🗺️ Fallout 5 is officially on Bethesda’s long-term horizon. While The Elder Scrolls VI remains the studio's top priority, leadership has begun sharing the first concrete details regarding the return of the post-nuclear franchise.
🎯 Design Director Emil Pagliarulo reveals that the studio is aiming for a "forever game." The goal is to build a massive experience supported by deep systems and high replayability, designed to keep players engaged for 600+ hours.
🛠️ Executive Producer Todd Howard confirmed the project is in early pre-production. Currently, a "one-page" design document exists, with a small strike team exploring core story concepts and foundational ideas.
📺 The next chapter remains firmly in the established lore, taking place after the events of the Fallout TV series (post-2296). It will exist within the same continuity fans have followed for decades.
⏳ Full-scale production won't kick off until The Elder Scrolls VI is out the door. Based on Bethesda’s typical development cycles, fans should look toward an early 2030s release window.
