EPD CONFISCATED ALMOST 1 MILLION WORTH OF ILLEGAL DRUGS IN A WEEK ACCOMPLISHMENT
The Eastern Police District (EPD) intensified its battle against illegal drugs, delivering a major operational breakthrough with the arrest of 61 drug personalities and the seizure of PhP910,884.00 worth of illegal drugs from May 25 to May 31, 2026.
Through 47 relentless anti-drug operations, EPD Drug Enforcement Units confiscated 98.39 grams of shabu and 0.1 gram of ma*****na, and 155 grams of kush significantly crippling street-level drug distribution and disrupting the flow of illegal substances across Metro East.
These results stemmed from the aggressive implementation of the Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) strategy, an intelligence-driven approach focused on precision targeting of drug personalities and networks. Coupled with strong community cooperation, EPD continues to tighten its grip on illegal drug activities.
Police Brigadier General Melecio M Buslig Jr., Officer-in-Charge, EPD, emphasized the district’s uncompromising stance, “This is a clear message, there is no safe haven for illegal drug activities in Metro East. We are intensifying our operations and we will not stop until those involved are held accountable. EPD stands firm in protecting our communities and securing a safer future for our people.”
