One of the most underrated things in business (and honestly in every area of life) is just showing up 100%. EVERY. DAMN. TIME.

It’s very simple math, really: You don’t get 100% results from 20% effort. You just don’t.

Now you might be thinking, “I didn’t half-ass my business. I built this. I worked hard for it.”

Yes, that’s very true. You gave your full ass for it.

But how about your operations?

How about your marketing?

How about the parts you keep saying you’ll fix “when you have time”?

When you try to do everything alone, you’re not just half-assing it…

you’re one-fourth-assing it.

Like… not even close to a 1/8 ass.

(But okay, this is not about ass 😂)

What we’re trying to say is: you can’t expect full results from pieces of effort spread too thin across too many things. Something will slip, and usually it’s the part that actually matters.

🔊 You need people who can give 100% to the parts you keep giving leftovers to. READ THAT AGAIN.

A lot of business owners don’t want to admit this, but they LOVEEEE being in control.

I mean… it’s only fair. It’s their business and they built it. 🤷

So of course it feels “right” to hold the control as tight as possible, right?

But here’s where it becomes a problem. You can’t keep doing that when you start hiring people.

YOU’RE NOT GOD.

❌You’re not everywhere.
❌You’re not in everyone’s head.
❌Or at least you’re not supposed to be.

The whole point of hiring is letting people do the work you brought them in for.

Coz otherwise it’s like hiring a chef and then kicking them out of the kitchen so you can cook everything yourself. Makes zero sense.

🔊 You need to be able to loosen your grip in order to accept help.

Because if you choke the space, nothing can grow in it. (remember that!)

And the only way to grow your business is having help that’s allowed to take over the things you shouldn’t be holding anymore.

You think when you’re in food business you’ll just need to focus on your food and nothing else.

But newsflash, since this is a business you need to think outside of your chefs uniform. 🧑‍🍳

You need to make sure that you see all parts of your business. Marketing, operations, sales, etc.

Because if you don’t, it’s only a matter of time before the business that feeds others stops feeding itself.

Not now, maybe not soon, but eventually‼️

Teka lang, unang tanong muna: Ano ba goal mo?

Let’s plate this with a G.S.A.R. mindset:

• Goal. Ano ba talagang gusto mo. Fully booked tuwing Friday. Higher average ticket. Mas maraming takeout. Mas maraming reviews.

• Strategy. Ano ang recipe para maabot yun. Menu engineering, promos, partnerships, ads, creator collabs, loyalty.

• Action. Ano ang gagawin, kailan, gaano kadalas. Daily Reels of bestsellers, weekly collab with a local baker, lunch promo for nearby offices, retargeting for cart abandons sa delivery apps.

• Result. Ano ang sukatan ng success. Covers per night, average order value, dessert attach rate, reservation show rate, repeat visit rate, ROAS.

RESULTS WILL ALWAYS BE DIFFERENT DEPENDING ON THE GOAL.

For example:

1. If you’re building a brand people crave, you need someone who can shoot, script, and edit food the right way. Crispy sounds, steam shot, clean plating, real people taking the first bite. Trust is the currency. Quality makes your food look worth the drive.

2. If your targeting is off, wala ring mangyayari kahit gaano kaganda ang latte art videos. Kung students ang heavy traffic mo pero office workers ang tina-target mo sa ads, parang nagse-serve ka ng steak sa tao na naghanap ng silog. See our point here?

3. If brand awareness ang goal, tanungin mo: umaabot ba sa For You Page at nagtu-turn into bookings. Or puro likes lang na hindi nagre-reserve. Virality is cute But butts in seats is what you want.

There are so many factors so when you say “mahal,” madalas mismatch lang yan.

Parang nag-order ka ng wagyu pero craving mo pala pares. Hindi mali ang ulam. Mali lang ang timing at expectation. 😉

So, you have to fix the mismatch first.

Be honest about the goal. Pick one metric that proves it, like average ticket or reservation rate. Clean up the offer.

Then make the creative serve that plan, not the other way around.
