: Yas’ Top 3 Classic Music Videos
-
Michael Jackson - “Thriller”
One way or another, we have all seen this classic by the late and great Michael Jackson. Whether it was through MTV, YouTube, or your friend’s motorola, this music video took over the world with its unique approach to its visuals. Jackson leaned in to the horror aspect of the song and did so with amazing theatrics: a captivating story, eerie prosthetics and set design, and (of course) a dance break. Many still frames taken from the video are still iconic to this day! I mean… Need I say more?

OK Go - “Here It Goes Again”
This one is an underrated classic. While it may not be as globally recognized as Thriller, the very simple concept and ex*****on has to take the second spot for me. While every other artist at the time boasted big budget productions, OK Go went with a simple one shot video of them doing choreography on MULTIPLE treadmills. It was an unexpected and effective way of marketing themselves. Watch it if you haven’t! Definitely a cause of many childhood injuries lolz. Nonetheless, amazing concept!

HEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE… The absolute classic! Out of the three videos, I feel like this one stands the test of time. Aside from the video and song itself being legendary, the video has evolved to be one of the staples of the internet. One look at the beginning frame and people already know what’s to come. Moreover, it’s a music video you can see and hear without even having to watch it! (Sorry if I Rickrolled you! 🤣)
