Day 16: ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฟ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐จ-๐ง๐๐ฟ๐ป
Thursday, March 5, 2026
By the sixteenth day, many of us have already "failed" at our Lenten intentions. The initial energy has met the reality of our human limits. Maybe you broke a fast, skipped a moment of prayer, or let a stressful day get the best of your temper. When we stumble, a quiet voice often says: "Well, you ruined the streak. Might as well give up now."
But the spiritual life is not a perfect, unbroken line: it is a series of U-turns. ๐๐
Think of any long journey. If you take a wrong exit or realize you are heading the wrong direction, you do not just park the car and live on the side of the road forever. You do not throw away the whole trip because of one missed turn. You find a safe place to turn around. You recalculate. You keep going.
Lent is exactly the same. Grace is not a reward for people who never get lost: it is the light that shows us how to find our way back. God is much more interested in your "return" than He is in a perfect record.
If you feel like you have drifted off the path, do not let shame keep you away. A U-turn is not a sign of failure: it is an act of courage and humility. It is a moment where you say: "I cannot do this on my own, and I need to get back to the One who leads me." Today is a fresh opportunity to start again. Your journey is not defined by the times you fell, but by the number of times you decided to turn back toward Home.
๐ญ: Take a deep breath. If you have been carrying the guilt of a "failed" Lenten promise or a recent mistake, let it go right here. God is already waiting for you at the next turn. Are you ready to try again?
