𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐎 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐏𝐇?
Mago Studio PH was founded on December 21, 2020. By February 2021, the shop began attracting new customers with its classic products -- notepads and stickers. By 2023, it had grown to reach 400 followers on Shopee.
Unfortunately, in June 2023, the heart of the shop (its printer) suddenly broke down. It wasn’t until August 2024 that we were finally able to purchase a new one.
This marked a fresh start for us and opened doors to new possibilities. In October 2024, we launched button pins and stickers, which were met with great success! Since then, we’ve continued to experiment with more products. This year, we also invested in binding machines and a paper cutter for big batches, allowing us to produce our very own staple-bound and softbound books.
The shop has been such a big part of my life, and putting it on hiatus left my heart with a big hole, waiting to be mended. I was only waiting for an opportunity to buy myself a printer, but I realized that a whole year of inactivity would render it impossible for me to just start all over again. I wanted to experiment and experiment to avoid selling products that were substandard. If we were to come back, I want it to be excellent.
I decided to name the shop 𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐎 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐏𝐇 -> 𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐎 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬. First of all, I don't have a studio. I started this shop as a bored teenager, looking for a way to earn money during the pandemic to avoid feeling caged inside our home. Second, I want to diversify my products. It is mainly printed materials, so I chose to name it simply as Prints.
It's been a long time coming and I deem it necessary to come back. Before, I was just a teenager who was bored and wanted to try creating products that I like. Now, an adult, still bored at times, but not a college student who has more responsibilities, I want to make use of all machines I invested money on.
Looking forward from this day on.
