IN THE KNOW: Weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz earns the Philippines' first olympic gold medal in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics on Monday, July 26.
Hidilyn's performance set an olympic record with a total 224kg for women's 55kg event. Her final 127 kg lift in the clean and jerk also set record for the category.
Diaz's Tokyo wins makes her the second Filipino to have multiple olympic medals. She is also the first Filipino to win gold at the Asian Games.
