Are hourly rates still part of your hiring terms?😵‍💫

That's completely normal especially when you are running a corporate business.

I would never invalidate you for that reason.

However, if you are running a digital business, is a per hour rate really helping you maximize your employee's skills?

During my freelancing career, I've also taken roles that I accepted on a per-hour basis.

It was good but most of the time it sucked.

Why?

I've noticed I wasn't always producing quality work every hour. I did not like the thought of wasting my client's money with outputs that are 𝓷𝓸𝓽 𝓸𝓷 𝓹𝓪𝓻 with what I was contracted for.

I was dreading breaks in between especially when there are time trackers heavily emphasized by clients.

It was so nerve-wracking!

I noticed my creativity and freedom declined.

As a freelancer, it is disheartening to accept because one of the reasons why I chose to do freelance work is to escape the corporate-style work mandate.

I vowed to never accept one again.

Instead, I offer competency and output-based packages.

This was a game-changer because as a freelancer, I now have the chance to fully enjoy the term 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠.

And not only that, my clients favor the progress we made!🌸

Want to hear a hard truth?

📌Not all platforms will work for you

In the past months, I have noticed small business owners using all platforms TikTok, IG, FB, and Twitter to promote their products -- on top of their E-commerce.

All at the same time.

That not only takes more effort and time.

It also takes more time from your real goal - to make sales.

By being all over the place, yes you can get a bigger reach but the uncertainty of not is BIGGER.

You're probably doing this right now: 😒

Yes, I get it you may think otherwise.

But hear me out. Read more into my thoughts👇

By exerting all efforts into all social media sites, you may be showing up more but you also...
➡️ forget to strategize
➡️ have lesser time
➡️ get drained
➡️ loose ideas
➡️ aren't making any sales

Now, ask yourself, are these all correct?

If yes, then you're using social media unstrategically.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE EVERYWHERE.

Each social media platform and its monthly users have different interests and expectations when they use the app.

The product you offer may serve many markets, but it won't serve all - all ages, all income levels, all gender.

Right?

By posting everywhere, it's not only going to be messy without a good strategy, it would also be crazy.

Now, what should you do?
✅Identify your audience
✅Define your goals
✅Find your audience
✅Show up on that platform

Oops🤥 More like 2 months!

I've been gone for nearly 2 months on this account but I am more than happy to share with you what those media detox days were like for me.

With those months gone my milestones have been incredible...

Here are some of the good ones...
➡️Planned and celebrated my child's first bday!
➡️House renovation on the way
➡️I managed to onboard 2 clients for Q1
➡️Consistent Amazon clients sales
➡️Upskilled for PPC
➡️Received tons of orders on Fiverr
➡️Finished 10-20 pages of books per day
➡️Master's mockup thesis done (ugh)
➡️Took a long and well-deserved vacation
➡️Reached 33k on TikTok
➡️Built a good relationship with online communities
➡️Got potential brand collabs reaching out...

But I also
➡️Fell out of track for most days
➡️Cried hard multiple times because of postpartum
➡️Missed masters deadline
➡️Had a lot of anxiety episodes...

It's a roller coaster ride and I admit, I am still a work in progress but I am determined to be the best version of myself every single day!✨

It's been a blessed 2 months for me and my family!

Positioning yourself in a saturated market is difficult, especially as a newbie. Don't you agree?
