Truth # 2: Man has a SIN problem that SEPARATES him from God.
1. Everyone has sinned.Romans 3:23 says, “Everyone has sinned and is far fromGod’s saving presence.”
2. The penalty of sin is death.“For sin pays its wage – death- (Romans 6:23)ASK:Do you know what the Tagalog word for ‘wages’ is?
The word wages can be translated “kabayaran”. In otherwords, just like a worker deserves the wages he receives,we get what we deserve. So, if we translate the verse, itreads: “Ang kabayaran ng kasalanan ay kamatayan”.
What kind of death? The Bible talks about two kinds of death.The first death is physical.
The second death is spiritual oreternal separation from God.
We read about this SECOND DEATH in the book of Revelation.“But cowards, traitors, perverts, murderers, the immoral,those who practice magic, those who worship idols, andALL LIARS – the place for them is the lake burning with fireand sulfur, which is the Second Death.”- (Revelation 21:8)SAY:
After reading this verse, I might say that I am not amurderer, or have been sexually immoral, but it also says Here, “all liars”, and I know that I have lied more than oncein my life.
How about you? Can you say that you have lied atleast once in your life?

This verse says that you and I qualify for the second deathas well. In essence, every single person in this world isconsidered guilty in account of what Revelation 21:8 says.This seems like very bad news, doesn’t it? Since sin separates man from God, what is the solution to man's problem?
