Novice designers brings life to this year’s 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 2022

Tailoring their way to making a name in transforming Kalinga weaving into cutting-edge indigenous fashion, fifteen local designers from the city were handpicked by organizers to transform their unique designs into artistic runway ensembles in the first ever stand-alone Matagoan Fashion Show on June 23.
The ramp design category includes recycled fashion, eccentric and trendy designs. Fifteen emerging local designers from the city were handpicked by the organizers. Ten designers were designated to come up with 10 indigenous fashion designs each, while five entries were chosen for the recycled fashion category.

The designers were Jocelyn Dumatog of Nessaj’s Weaving, Mercy Banya-ao Alya-on of Rycy’s Indi Fashion, Aileen Dalimag of El Fashionista, Verline Pangsiw of Massalinga Musical Instruments and Handicrafts, Kristine Ann Diki of Dosan’s Weaving, Jennifer Pinated of Taitana’s Dress Shop and Kalinga Woven Products, Elvie Umnas of Rovie’s Pasalubong Shop, Dam-ay Banson of Carol Lines Ethnic Fashion with freelance designers Cheryl Pugyao and Daryl Nicolas, Joylyn Apaling, Ralph Daniel Lunes, Kimberly Jireh Pigao, Andrea Yagac, Marigold Calsiyao and Clayton Moldero.
