𝗡𝗜𝗖 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗜𝗡𝗖. 𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗦 𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗥 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗕𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡
Sangley Point, Cavite City – The Naval Installation Command (NIC), in collaboration with ACERS Inc. (Advocates Capable for Environment to Restructure and Sustainability Inc.), organized an Information Drive on Mental Health Awareness and Mass Blood Donation on Tuesday, February 25, at NBC Social Hall, Naval Base Heracleo Alano.
ACERS Inc., led by the Chairperson and President, Dr. Danilo Y. Elardo PhD and Operations Manager, Major Dennis Dimapilis PN(M)(RET), is a non-profit organization that aims to support HADR programs and medical missions as well as to raise awareness on climate change.
The event kicked-off with a series of lectures on Mental Health Awareness, delivered by guest speakers from ACERS Inc., aimed at inspiring attendees to overcome their current challenges and create a positive impact in their lives. Subsequently followed by the mass blood donation led by the Red Cross with participation from blood donors representing HNIC, NIF-Cavite, and other PN units aboard Cavite Area.
The Commander, NIC, RAdm. Florante N. Gagua PN expressed his gratitude to ACERS Inc. for their efforts in educating and raising awareness, helping to break down barriers, and fostering an environment where mental well-being is valued equally with physical health. He also encouraged everyone to seek help without fear of judgement. “𝘙𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳, 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘵𝘩, 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴.” RAdm. Gagua said.
ACERS Inc. extended their sincere gratitude to Team NIC for their unwavering support in this humanitarian endeavor. Likewise, the Command assured that its unit will continue to be committed as a key partner in these various humanitarian activities.
This activity was initiated by the Flag Officer In Command, Philippine Navy, VAdm. Jose Ma Ambrosio Q. Ezpeleta PN, and was guided by the principle emphasizing the link between work attitude, values, and mental health of military personnel and their productivity in fulfilling their duties, thereby supporting their career growth within the Philippine Navy organization.
