What does a Mortgage VA actually do?

Akala ng marami kapag Virtual Assistant, social media agad.

Pero hindi lahat ng VA work ganun.

Isa sa niche na natutunan ko over the years is supporting Australian mortgage brokers.

Typical tasks of a Mortgage VA can include:
• organizing loan documents
• checking application details
• coordinating with brokers
• following up valuation or reports
• updating client records

Structured yung work.
Hindi siya random tasks lang.

Maraming skills dito na meron na ang mga galing sa BPO, admin work, or banking.
Kaya minsan kapag sinasabi ng iba na wala silang experience…

Real talk.

Hindi ka zero experience.
Hindi mo lang alam kung saan gagamitin yung skills mo.

Graduation season again.

While waiting for my junakis today (mommy duty mode), storytelling muna tayo...

naalala ko lang…

3 years ago, I was invited to be a guest speaker at the same school where I studied kindergarten.

My first reaction?

“Ha? Bakit ako?”

And honestly, that reaction came from something I struggled with for a long time.

Limiting beliefs.

• I’m not deserving
• I’m not successful enough
• Hindi ko kaya
• Takot ako magsalita sa harap ng maraming tao
• Ano kaya sasabihin ng iba?

Those thoughts were loud.

But despite all of that…

I still said yes.

I did it scared.

And when the moment came and I was standing there already speaking…

I realized something.

Ah… kaya ko naman pala.

And another realization hit me.

It actually doesn’t matter that much what other people say.

Because even if you do the right thing,
may masasabi at masasabi pa rin ang ibang tao.

So here’s what I want to say to you today.

If you’re doubting yourself right now…

You are more capable than you think.
You are more ready than you believe.

And sometimes courage just means doing it even while you’re scared.

Let me ask you this—

Just a small reflection today.

When you share something online — a guide, advice, or even your experience — you’ll notice something interesting.

Some people appreciate it.
Some people will raise an eyebrow.

And that’s okay.

I guess that’s just the reality of putting things out there. Iba-iba naman tayo ng perspective.

But one thing I’m learning is this:
Behind every guide, content, or advice someone shares, there’s usually a lot of time, learning, and experience behind it.
